DKC is looking for an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive with 2-5 years of relevant public relations and communications experience to join its Sports team in New York. The role is designed for an individual who has demonstrated an aptitude for media relations in the context of the clients' strategic imperatives, and an ability to create written materials in support of comprehensive media relations programs. Throughout the employee's tenure, it is expected that he/she/they will develop a vast network of media contacts across the spectrum of traditional and new media and will be able to implement effective publicity per the client's strategic imperatives/business objectives. Further, the successful candidate will also share a demonstrated interest in data analytics and digital strategy as it applies to PR.

We manage many of the most prestigious and lucrative sports sponsorships, conceptualizing and activating compelling programs to create added-value PR that bring these strategic partnerships to life.
What we are looking for:
o Must have media relationships and experience working with journalists
o Must be proficient in the creation of basic press materials such as press releases, fact sheets, bios, etc. following the client's strategic objectives, brand identity, etc.
o Must be able to communicate clearly, comfortably and in an informed/prepared manner with senior DKC staff and independently with clients as necessary
o Must instill confidence in senior DKC staff and clients and guide Account Coordinators
o Must be proficient in the creation of internal and external documents such as memos, client updates, recaps, etc.
o Must be able to thoroughly understand the strategic imperatives/business objectives behind each of his/her client's communications programs as directed by the immediate supervisor
o Must be comfortable asking questions of the supervisor if these strategic imperatives/business objectives are unclear
