Job Description
Reporting into the SVP, Marketing, this is role within DMED (Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution) is focused on how we strengthen our portfolio of businesses through marketing efforts around diverse and multi-cultural audiences. For this role, we are seeking a seasoned marketing executive who can serve as a thought leader and a center of excellence for all DEI Marketing efforts across the entire DMED segment (which includes our collection of streaming services – Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ - as well as our Networks). In this role, you will work closely with senior marketing leaders within the company to identify areas of growth from a business and audience perspective. You will coordinate the ways in which our numerous marketing teams drive increased audience and affinity through our multi-cultural marketing efforts, while serving as a category expert and business driver not only for our portfolio of businesses, but for senior leadership within the company. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to connect a wealth of DE&I experience and marketing tenure with business objectives and experience working across numerous matrixed teams.

Responsibilities:
• Identify growth areas and audiences for our portfolio of businesses and deliver measurable growth through your leadership and partnership.
• Consult and guide senior marketing leaders in the execution of this work across all areas of marketing, including creative, media buying, social, publicity, et al.
• Lead a small team of embedded employees in critical marketing functions across DMED in the effort to grow audiences and affinity for breadth of businesses
• Work closely with Insights and Research to not only map these growth segments, but to evaluate the results of our work in this space
• Work across the entire segment to ensure that our efforts around marketing in the space is both coordinated and equitable
• Provide regular updates to the company's senior leadership in terms of audience growth and business impact of marketing efforts in this space
• Advocate and lead DE&I marketing education to all DMED employees, particularly those in marketing roles

Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in a marketing role and/or similar function leading high-priority Brand projects with multiple key stakeholders and direct report(s).
• Understanding of marketing landscape, particularly multi-cultural marketing efforts
• Understanding of a broad set of marketing disciplines – covering PR, creative, media, social and digital, partnerships, et al.
• Background with media or brands as well as shepherding large scale marketing campaigns
• Experience working with highly matrixed marketing organizations
• Experience at both directly managing teams and influencing others in a large scale media company

Required Education

Minimum BA or BS degree, preferable in Communications, Business, Marketing, PR, and/or related field.

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
