Job Summary:
The Senior Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for developing and creating motion graphics packages for branded videos, ideating and implementing both static and motion design content for social media platforms, building and maintaining style guides, as well as collaborating with team members and partners to produce the highest quality visual stories for our audiences. Reporting into the Manager, Graphic Design, this role will be joining a multidisciplinary team to create cutting edge visuals, pushing boundaries of entertainment content and technology in a fast paced consumer driven marketing environment.
We are looking for a motion designer who have excellent communication skills, excels in brainstorming and pitching new ideas, hungry to tell visual stories, able to follow through the entire creative cycle from developing concepts to final execution, constantly learning and evolving visually, and passionate about motion graphics, social media and new technologies. 3D and video editing skills are great bonus. If you are collaborative, self-motivated, can work independently and under pressure, open to feedback, and have great attention to details, this role may be a fit for you!
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
Focus on major areas of work, typically 20% or more of role time
Developing and creating motion graphics packages:
• Establish overall look and feel and visual language for branded video content
• Develop mood board/storyboards and create on-screen video graphics elements (including logo/title card animation, lower third, transitions, text templates, sponsorship implementation, end card animation)
• Closely work with post-production team to build MOGRT templates
• Troubleshoot and provide guidance to post-production team for motion graphics package usages, quality control, and package extension supervision

Brainstorming and executing social platforms motion content:
• Conceptualize and pitch social media motion graphics ideas to team and partners
• Build mood board/ storyboard
• Create formatted IP toolkits for social platforms
• Execute on motion graphics concept from scratch
• Assist in adding motion graphics to existing assets/illustrations
• Occasional video editing and post-production

Building and maintaining style guides and assets:
• Organize and oversee motion packages assets in shared portal
• Build and upkeep on-screen graphics style guides
• 10%
Working with vendor to complete motion design projects
• Be point of contact with vendor and provide art direction to motion projects
• Compile and organize vendor deliveries and project files. Responsible for full project cycle including internal and partner reviews

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
• 5+ years on-the-job experience a must
• experience working in a highly-matrixed organization a plus
• Solid portfolio with relevant examples of previous client work with strong sense of typography, layout, design, color theory, animation and style frames
• Understand best practices for short-form content on social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitter
• Expertise in AfterEffects, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere a must, understanding of a diverse range of motion design software, plugins, techniques and approach
• 3D software, AR knowledge and skills are great bonus
• Able to work under pressure and leave ego at the door, enjoy constructive feedback and collaboration
• Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-based, constantly evolving environment
Preferred:
• B.A. in design, marketing, creative or relevant degree
