Job Description

The Disney ADK Partner Integration Engineering Group is the first line of interaction and directly responsible for the quality of the Disney ADK device ports delivered for formal certification at Disney. The group plays a role that expedites the consumption of the ADK client solution in multi-millions of consumer devices across the world.

The team supports partners integrating the Disney ADK solution into their OEM devices such as Set-Top-Boxes (STB), TV Chipset and other embedded devices. As an Integration Support Engineer you will be responsible for assisting with 1st level triage of ADK integration issues, overall quality of the certification port delivered to Disney for formal certification, streamlining the integration effort, quality and overall content of documentation consumed by partners, innovation where needed to scale the delivery and use of the ADK, tooling that may be required for troubleshooting.

This role requires a strong independent contributor, not afraid to get their hands dirty, and able to work without the support of other team members and ADK teams due to various constraints such as time zones etc. You will be an ambassador and liaison between different ADK engineering teams, Technical Account Managers and Product Owners

Responsibilities:
• CRM system (tracker and Jira) based interaction, resolution of questions and issues reported by various partners, simulating and reproducing the partner reported observations, etc.
• Support, debug and triage issues to help improve the ADK where needed, identifying short-term work-arounds to facilitate partner timelines
• Act as a liaison between different ADK engineering teams, Technical Account Managers, Product Owners, Certification and QA teams.
• Work on internal initiatives for improving scalability of partner integration support team efforts.

Skills & Experience Required:
• Fluent in C and C++
• Toolchain use and exposure to different build systems
• Strong documentation skills are essential
• Source control familiarity is required
• You have the ability to adapt and pivot as needed
• Strong multi-tasking capabilities, managing multiple partners, efforts and initiatives
• Strong remote collaboration skills
• You are able to demonstrate strong customer support and interaction skills with multi-cultural empathy
• The ability to adapt to a large code base of multiple technological complexities, can learn as you go and assimilate a lot in a short amount of time
• Strong English language skills, other language skills are a plus
• Software integration familiarity
• Exposure to large code base support and debugging strategies
• Good exposure to embedded devices is a must
• Strong familiarity with Linux and other operating systems is essential
• Virtual Machine and Docker exposure is highly beneficial
