Senior Software Engineer

Job Description

Hulu's Developer Productivity team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for writing full-featured, developer-facing tools and frameworks using modern technologies across a variety of languages. You will help us facilitate development within our parent team (as well as the organization at large) by building batteries-included frameworks that allow devs to quickly begin writing product code without worrying about configuration. You will also take the services developed by other teams and package them in ways that make them intuitive and accessible for developers all across Hulu and Disney Streaming.

Basic Qualifications:

WHAT TO BRING
• Strong passion for building stable, well-tested applications and packages in a collaborative environment
• 5+ years of experience developing large, well-tested applications
• Excellent debugging skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiasm for new technologies, languages, frameworks, and platforms
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

NICE TO HAVES
• Expertise using Golang to build Web services, APIs, and CLI tools.
• Expertise in Web technologies, including JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, and/or Terraform
• Experience with other popular languages (Node, Java, Scala, Python)

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
