Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Software Engineer to join our Data Science team as a Cloud DevOps specialist. Our team focuses on harnessing data points via innovative analysis, data science approaches and engineering processes. As a member of our rapidly growing team, you will work closely with data scientists, data analyst, ML engineers, and project managers to build robust Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and Continuous Testing (CT) for production model pipelines, improving productivity from lower environments through cloud processes and workflows.

Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Company's best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED is responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company's content engines. DMED also manages operations of the Company's streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ Hotstar; and domestic broadcast and cable television networks.

Responsibilities:
• Review, analyze, deploy and recommend solutions & tools to improve the ML/AI as service development process from the DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps ecosystem
• Design, develop, maintain and optimize our CI/CD Systems with focus on resilience, scalability, maintainability, and security
• Support infrastructure as code and leveraging CI/CD pipelines, managing the full cloud service lifecycle from DataOps, MLOps, DevOps release through retirement
• Maintain existing build processes, managing the design and implementation of their replacement while working to define and establish the DevOps best practices
• Iterate on your seamless production applications, continuously increasing observability and automation
• Build and integrate AWS managed services to meet growing demands across multiple AWS regions, including automation of AWS infrastructure configurations
• Research, develop, and deploy technical solutions into automated integration testing activities
• Drive standardization, simplification, and automation across all cloud workflows
• Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
• Support and comply with the company's Quality Assurance System and procedures

Qualifications:
• Proficiency in developing Docker, AWS ECS or Kubernetes, Jenkins for Data Science use cases (4+ years experience)
• Experience with MLOps in AWS Sagemaker or Databricks
• Experience with AWS infrastructure deployment including Terraform or Cloudformation
• Experience operating in an SDLC environment and deploying production engineering models and code
• Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, able to concisely synthesize complex technical information quickly and accurately
• In-depth understanding of HTTP and Service Oriented Architectures
• BA or BS in a quantitative field (Engineering, Math/Statistics, Economics, CS, or similar) is desired

Preferred:
• Minimum two years of experience in streaming industry, knowledge of client and server side architecture is a plus
• 4+ years of Python, Spark, Pyspark, SQL, or Scala
