Job Description
Production Assistant (Nat Geo)

The Production Assistant provides production support to National Geographic's Yellow Border Production Services team. Their primary duty is to complete deliverables for productions and their secondary duty is to provide additional production support such as research-related tasks, short writing assignments, logging footage and assisting on field shoots. This position will not supervise other staff / have any direct reports.

Responsibilities:
• Create deliverables for non-fiction programs including music cue sheets, acquired footage logs, and script conforms for linear networks and nonlinear streaming platforms.
• Annotate program scripts and research facts for Popped programs.
• Research replacement music cues.
• Conduct stock footage research.
• Log segments from different episodes across a series to create story grids, which Producer uses to select stories for Compilation episodes.
• Complete writing assignments, including, but not limited to, the writing of ''Pops'', episode descriptions and talent / expert biographies.
• Provide on-location production support on field shoots.

Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ years' experience working for a production company, network, or post-production company preferred

Required Education:
• Bachelor's Degree required in Film Production, Television Production, Journalism or Communications or related field.
