The Walt Disney Company's Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) is a new, global business segment for The Walt Disney Company with the mission of providing consumers around the world access to the content they want most, on the latest platforms, at a time of rapidly-evolving consumer habits. Combining the Company's direct-to-consumer streaming services – ESPN+, the Disney+ streaming service and its ownership stake in Hulu -- alongside Disney's international media businesses, DMED aligns cutting-edge technology with world-class content and beloved brands to expand the Company's global footprint and deliver highly-personalized entertainment experiences to diverse consumers around the world.
The Reporting, Analytics, & Data Solutions team will normalize a data culture within DMED that aligns with the principle that all data is relational and management of it should be central, accessible, sustainable and flexible. We will consult with partners to provide the path to better solutions through streamlined processes. We will proactively identify areas of opportunity and seek innovative solutions that solve problems before they exist. And we will deliver solutions to functional HR partners or enable self-service tools when possible.
The Reporting, Analytics, & Data Solutions team will design a data experience that matches our consumer experience, incorporating user-friendly functionality that allows users of all levels to explore and uncover insights unique to their team. The team will deliver solutions that are effortless to the user but impactful to business, so that it becomes a new standard of how DMED operates and make decisions.
Job Summary:
The Manager, Reporting and Analytics is responsible for driving DMED's strategy and approach to providing proactive data and insights to business leaders to better attract and retain talent, develop high quality leaders, and . This role is built to drive efficiencies and improve Human Resources impact on the division, as well as support recurring and ad-hoc analytical needs.
The Manager will lead a team that evolves and/or establishes data analytics standards, designs processes, and builds relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the business and HR teams.
Responsibilities:
• Provides both automated and ad-hoc HR insights, reporting and advanced analytics to the DMED HR team and broader DMED Leadership
• Educates HR and business leaders on data insights in order to develop action plans; understands challenges in the business and proactively builds data tools to identify and address root causes
• Communicates insights and findings to senior management via formal presentations and standard reports on periodic/quarterly/annual basis
• Creates, maintains, and ensures quality assurance of key human resources data sets through automated auditing tools and dashboards
• Key contact for Workday, legacy SAP, Cognos, and local database support, training, and issue resolution as it relates to reporting and analysis requests
• Build and release complex compensation models & analyses to DMED compensation partners (e.g. multi-layer compression, annual compensation budget modeling, etc)
• Develop and deliver headcount reporting process, turnover analysis, and position management tracking system
• Oversee Quarterly Off-Cycle LTI Submission and Retention Bonus Tracking systems, processes, and data
Basic Qualifications:
• 6+ years experience working in HR data analysis & insights directly or in a consulting capacity
• 2+ years leading a HR analysis or insights team
• 2+ years using Workday and Cognos reporting (or data warehouse equivalent)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong user of Microsoft Office 365 suite, with proficiency in PowerBI, Access, and Office 365 automation; prior experience with Tableau a plus
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a commitment to accuracy

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or equivalent
Preferred Education
• Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or equivalent; CCP a plus
