Job Description
We are looking for a driven, creative, and entrepreneurial candidate with Marketing and Social Media experience to help grow Disney's Direct-to-Consumer (eg. Disney+) subscribers and viewer engagement in Canada as Sr. Marketing Manager, Social. This role will report directly to the Director of Growth Marketing for Canada and is accountable for creation, measurement and execution of marketing campaigns and management, and growing our viewer engagement through unpaid channels.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and build the Canadian Disney+ Streaming social strategy, programming calendar, and growth for existing and emerging social channels diving deep into performance metrics to deliver data-driven recommendations for new content and creative strategies
• Partner with Disney Studio Marketing and Disney+ Growth Marketing to build the Canadian Lifecycle, Organic, Paid, Social, and Brand executions and strategy
• Define a Canadian strategy for driving acquisitions, engagement, and retention through paid and organic marketing initiatives
• Work closely with Marketing teams across Disney+, and other internal groups to cohesively approach projects and activities, and drive marketing and social content decisions, own long-term strategy, pre-planned campaigns and day-to-day editorial decisions
• Analyze and report marketing, social media, and activation performance to quantify the effectiveness of campaigns and drive scalable learnings on a regular basis
• Identify areas of opportunity in our marketing playbook to drive customer funnel conversion, continuously adding and experimenting with new connection points while solidifying proven channels
• Contribute to the development of new product features and tools for marketing and measurement
• Track and report on brand health and customer preferences, leveraging survey research, custom panels, and other relevant studies
• Build and maintain a marketing calendar to plan, and execute campaign launches
• Create opportunities to communicate with audiences in a compelling, engaging and helpful way that is mapped to team KPIs
• Other marketing and social duties as required

Basic Qualifications:
• 7+ years of experience in Marketing & Social Media preferably in media / entertainment
• 5+ years managing social channels
• A deep understanding of organic and paid marketing channels
• Experience with social media marketing accelerating channel growth organically / paid, and social influencer marketing
• Proficiency with running large performance marketing campaigns, data and attribution tools, deep analytics, and performance monitoring
• Strong interpersonal skills to influence broad stakeholder groups
• A strong grasp of current marketing trends and the ability to lead marketing campaigns from concept to execution
• Excellent communications skills, exemplary writing ability, and possess a strong social voice/tone
• An expert on customer behavior and business drivers with a proven ability to ideate new initiatives to improve key metrics, and influence marketing to support goals
• A strong bias for action and ability to work equally well with operations teams, executive management and external stakeholders, whether that partner be off or on site
• Established reputation for integrity, sound judgment, fairness, and discretion
• Ability to thrive in change, while always maintaining high attention to detail in a deadline driven environment

Required Education
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Social Media, or equivalent industry experience

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
