Job Description
The DMED Social Insights team is responsible for supporting Disney+ domestic and international teams as well as the central marketing brand teams for Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars through data-based reporting and actionable, strategic insights.
This role will support the team's data preparation efforts through routine content identification across the DMED network of 800+ social channels. They will be primarily focused on adding all relevant and accurate metadata to social content in a timely manner, in order to expedite data analysis that will drive strategy around content, marketing, and larger business decisions. This role will require a strong attention to detail, as well as proficiency in content management tools and experience with large-volume data sets.
This role will also assist the larger Insights Team with social findings and reports that are developed to guide strategy for digital, social, video content and development, support key marketing campaigns and priorities, review trends, and provide actionable recommendations. This role will require a foundational background and proficiency in native social media platforms, analytics, proactive learner's attitude, and a passion for data science.
Responsibilities:
• Review content published to the Central Digital Marketing network of social channels (across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube) on a daily basis.
• Evaluate content against established reporting guidelines, and escalate questions or uncertainties through the appropriate channels.
• Comprehensively apply content tags within the content management system.
• Build and leverage automated functions such as macros where appropriate.
• Liaise with external platform or tools reps when needed to flag and resolve platform issues, streamline workflows, etc.
• Assist the Insights Analyst or Managers on various reporting deliverables.
• Own all manual tracking for non-API based data sets.
Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ years of professional experience within digital media analytics, preferably within a studio or entertainment media company or agency
• 1+ years of experience with third-party content management or data visualization tools (Sprinklr, Tableau, Domo, JIRA)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a relentless attention to detail
• Strong time management skills, with a propensity for flexibility and tenacity amidst shifting or competing priorities and tight deadlines
• Passionate about leveraging data to drive meaningful strategy
• Capability to ideate and try new ideas
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior experience within a marketing team, preferably in the entertainment field; or an understanding of social content formats and general familiarity with film, media and/or streaming businesses
• Experience with native social backend analytics platforms (Facebook and Instagram Creator Studio, Crowd Tangle, YouTube Analytics, some experience with TikTok Analytics preferred)
• Experience with Excel and common data manipulation functions such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables preferred)
Required Education
• BA/BS or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education
• BA/BS in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Physics, Engineering, etc)
• Social Platform Certifications (Facebook, YouTube) focused on either content strategy or data analytics are preferred
