Job Description
Disney+ Global Content Operations is accountable for the end-to-end workflow of Domestic and International content (Originals, Currents, Acquisitions, Library, QTTV, and Live TV), ensuring timely and accurate delivery and remediation, from the creators hand-off to the ingestion on Disney+, coordinating efficiency across the entire supply chain.The Title Management - Domestic team within GCO is accountable for global end to end planning, ordering, delivering and remediation of titles for Disney+, Star+, and Hotstar, inclusive of data management related to rights and clearances, first availability windows, content configuration, component ingestion, and validation for all platforms, globally.
The Title Management Associate - LIVE TV is a member of the Global Content Operations (GCO) organization in Glendale, CA, reporting to the Senior Manager, Title Management – Domestic. You are accountable for end to end planning, ordering, delivering and remediation of titles expected to air LIVE on Disney+ and be retained as SVOD for Disney+, Star+, and Hotstar. You will work to execute the vision and continuously manage the workflows and deliverables as it pertains to livestreaming and SVOD.
Through excellent communication and organization, you will project manage and execute select titles in the supply chain, ensuring cross-functional teams are informed and on track with project tasks according to mutually agreed timelines. You are a highly detail-oriented individual with a keen eye for innovation, and consistently motivated to solve the challenges that come with launching content on a global platform.
Responsibilities:
• Work with all cross-functional teams and our partnered studios to facilitate communication, solve problems and ensure organizational preparedness for title launches and events
• End-to-end project management of Disney+ LIVE TV to SVOD streaming titles
• Full project setup, milestone tracking, risk assessment and mitigation, and reporting status throughout
• Align cross-functional team deadlines against LIVE streaming production schedules, marketing needs, and go-live dates
• Track linear workflow and hand-offs from the live feed to post-live expectations and timeframes
• Identify issues early and push the organization towards a resolution
• Escalate issues within the live feed to relevant teams to resolve
• Ensure distribution rights are cleared and titles are represented accurately in relative management tools
• Manage post-live file delivery and workflows with cross-functional teams for source files to inventory, localization expectations, artwork and metadata, scheduling and platform release
• Track delivery status, assess risks, remediate issues, and escalate late or missing assets and/or components in a timely manner
• Strong partnership with cross-functional teams to anticipate issues and set up work streams for scalability
• Effectively communicate project and title level updates to stakeholders
• Drive the communication of issue status reports and drive post mortem efforts
• Build alliance within GCO and cross-functional partners
• Collaborate with our solution teams to define tool requirements and enhancements to help scale our workflows
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
• 2+ years of experience managing LIVE streaming titles in Media & Entertainment, preferably with a content streaming platform
• Superior time management and organizational skills are essential
• Strong project management experience and the ability to juggle multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and a willingness to pivot as needed
• A collaborative spirit, especially as an expert at getting things done, all with a positive attitude
• Ability to dissect workflows and make tool recommendations that lead to more efficient and effective processes
• Familiarity with production and post-production workflows and UHD, HDR, and Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos technologies
• A passion for learning, constantly refining skills by learning from the experiences of others
• Strong Excel skills a must
• Ability to question the way we do things and recommend alternative solutions that drive impact for the business
• Comfortable using various data management systems and tools (e.g. Google and Microsoft suites, Smartsheet, Lucidchart, PowerBI, Tableau)
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to command a room
• Understanding of content localization workflows and requirements
• BA/BS or equivalent experience required
• A personal affinity for the brands and franchises of The Walt Disney Company
