We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Producer to be a leader at The AM Show striving for excellence on-air, editorially & within the team and to fill in for The AM Show Executive Producer.

Responsibilities
• Contribute to the editorial direction of the show, including identifying any required changes to the morning show & discuss with the EP and hosts
• Delegate duties to AM production staff
• Liaise with the hosts and maintain excellent relationship - know what their preferences are and what gaps they have
• Be a motivator for production staff and hosts
• Be a clear communicator
• Sub edit show intros
• Write the 6am & 7am openers
• Check playoffs
• Attend the early morning host meeting with EP
• Be responsible for putting out AM Early in the control room
• Output of the programme in the control room, under the direction of the EP, and have a clear understanding of legal and editorial risks while live on air
• Work with the EP to mitigate any legal or editorial issues as and when they arise
• Helping to steer the programme, presenters, control room staff, guests & out in the field reporters, under the direction of the EP
• Output of all programme banners - editorial & sponsored
• Effective communication with editorial & operational staff inside & outside the control room
• Send out daily jobs list
• Contribute regularly to news interview ideas
• Take a lead role in the post show review and debrief
• Attend regular host air-check sessions
• Generate ideas for creative content, including interviews and feature segments
• Attend integration meetings & take an active part in the decision making process
• Work on special projects with the EP & the Associate EP
• Mentor & encourage direct reports
• Regular weekly check ins with direct reports
• Fill in as EP when required
• Adhere to BSA broadcasting code
• Uphold the company values and expected behaviours in all undertakings related to your employment
• Ensure you are familiar with the Employer's policies and procedures, and any modifications to those policies and procedures that may be introduced from time to time
• Carry out your work safely and without endangering or causing harm to yourself, fellow staff members, contractors, customers, visitors, or the general public
• The Company may, after fair and reasonable consultation, change your duties, from time to time, for commercial reasons but not so as to substantially change the nature of the position.

Qualifications
• A proven track record in the media industry
• Excellent leadership & people skills
• Ability to work to tight deadlines & perform effectively under pressure
• A strong & effective communicator
• Close attention to detail
• A pedant for correct grammar, spelling & sentence structure
• Highly experienced in all TV technical aspects
• A proven track record in the successful management of staff
• Ability to assist in managing on-air talent
• Highly organised
• A decisive decision maker
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines & directions in a fast-paced environment
• The ability to multitask
• The experience and confidence required to fill in for the EP when required
• A hard working team player who understands the importance of a team and contributing constantly at a high level
