Overview

The Sport Event Planner will be part of Eurosport's Olympic Unit, serving primarily in a coordinating and administration function for the Sports Services Department. This position reports to the Manager, Sports Services.

Immersed in a high energy, fast paced and constantly changing work environment, this position is required to interact with all levels of the organisation and be proactive in the operational support of Eurosport's coverage of the Olympic Games and key major sporting events, Tennis Grand Slams, Cycling Grand Tours and Motorsport.

Responsibilities:
• Proactively work with the Manager, Sports Services on logistics planning and overall strategy for all events, from planning to delivery

• Monitor event related budgets and reconciliation post-event

• Contribute to the development & maintenance of the games management system

• Manage team calendar to track key deadlines & milestones

• Maintain positive working relationship with all suppliers to support Discovery Eurosport interest

• Create purchase orders and process invoices to ensure timely vendor payments and contractual terms are met

• Assist with managing all people logistics for venue surveys, site visits, offsites and any other workshops or team events including flights, hotel bookings, events space and any other logistics. Research and produce all logistics documentation

• Assist with other events as required.

Requirements

Requirements:
• Experience within the broadcast industry, as well as, Olympic or multi-sport events

• Experience of people logistics at large scale events

• Experience of managing large inventories across multiple properties with varying facilities

• Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Experience using Salesforce preferable but not essential.
