Job Description
The role of People & Culture Operations Specialist is responsible for direct contact with customers and internal support of People and Culture Partners as well as the integrity and accuracy of all employee records and data in our Systems. This role plays a key part in the People & Culture Operations Team who serve as the backbone of Discovery's People & Culture Organization, working collaboratively within a digitally native environment to align data, while implementing processes, procedures and support to make business decisions in compliance with operational SLAs.

Requirements

Requirements:
• +3 years of professional HR experience in global organization (experience in HR administration will be a strong asset)
• Good understanding of the labor law / social security in theUK
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail
• Excellent numerical and computer skills
• Experience working with Windows Office, particularly Excel
• Ability to prioritise workload, be self-driven
• Experience or understanding of HR systems (Success Factors preferable)
• Knowledge of case management systems (ServiceNow preferable)
• Experience of working in an HR Operations/Shared Services environment
• Ability to solve problems and carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision
• Ability to prioritize and address competing demands; with multi-tasking capacity critical
• High degree of respect for the confidentiality and sensitivity of HR and payroll data
• Must possess the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in English and the local language, both written and spoken
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Act as first point of contact for general People & Culture queries from employees, line managers and external vendors
• Support employees, line managers and external vendors with diverse queries and service requests across various communication channels, including case management, live chat, telephony and email
• Assist and counsel employees regarding benefits plans, payroll, company policies and programs and leave of absence plans.
• Onboard new hires, conduct new hire orientation, liaise with facilities and IT on new hire office space and technology needs, and coordinate new hire needs
• Support and guide employees on how to complete self-service transactions as required
• Work collaboratively as a global team with other areas of the People & Culture team or other Discovery teams (such as Global Technology & Operations) to resolve escalated or misdirected employee questions
• Responsible for managing and maintaining employee files, paper or electronic
• Create and maintain any documentation related to employment changes, ensuring all letters and documentation are correct and sent out in a timely manner
• Manage the new hire probation process, supporting the line manager and providing information to the employee as required
• Support People & Culture Partner team in day-to-day projects and provide support as required, including by answering tier one employee questions with a focus on customer service and maintaining a positive attitude
• Ensure overall compliance with the local employment law
• Statutory reporting
• Other projects as and when required
