Job Summary

We are looking for an SDM-3 position that comes from an engineering background and has developed people management and delivery skills over time and experience. He will be managing a group of very talented SDE-1/2/3s in his team to deliver solid quality output. He will coordinate with external teams as needed to keep his team unblocked from external dependencies and deliver results as per timeline.

We are looking to hire this position in Bengaluru. As a manager, you need to interact with external stakeholders like product managers, TPMs, architects from the same as well as different teams. The person should be open to handle calls with US and Europe stakeholders for coordination (keep in mind odd timings of the same) and should be open to travel if needed.

Responsibilities
• Being the owner of the automation QA team, you also own the end-to-end performance of the entire production system. You will ensure all monitors, checks, health measures are in place and they are actively measured to check any issues on a proactive basis.

• You ensure complete documentation of the automation test suite your team has built and make changes to keep it up to date for subsequent releases.

• The automation system should be integrated as part of the build process (CICD pipeline) and not just act as a standalone system. It's your responsibility that no code can go into production without proper checks in place

Requirements
• You have worked in a rapidly changing environment and thrive in a startup environment and are proficient in dealing with ambiguity

• You understand a broad range of computer science concepts and know-how, when, and when not to use them.

• 10 years of experience in QA automation as an individual contributor. Should have done automation testing for the main backend. But a little front-end testing experience is also a plus. 3+ years of experience in managing a team of QAs. Should have hands-on experience with QA Automation and Load testing tools.
