Overview

Reporting to the Senior Director for Ad Sales ANZ the Senior Manager, Integration role is a key leadership position with the ANZ Commercial team. This role is responsible for leading a team who deliver client solutions that go beyond standard inventory advertising, showcasing creativity, innovation and strategic thinking.

Led by the Senior Manager, the Integration team sit alongside the frontline sales team and share accountability for both proactive and reactive revenue generation and achievement of Integration revenue targets. The role spans multiple touchpoints within the Discovery business including Creative, Production, Programming, International Sales and Marketing, and works closely with external agencies and clients.

Responsibilities
• Articulate a strategy and annual business plan that delivers on revenue targets.
• Lead a team that brings innovative thinking to our customers and positions Discovery as a market leader across ANZ for strategic solutions, content partnerships, creativity and innovation.
• Lead and develop a high performing team that has a strong positive culture.
• Oversee and support the recruitment and training of employees, regularly evaluate team members performance and actively resolve any performance or behavioural issues.
• Work closely and collaboratively with internal teams and external clients and agencies.
• Ensure agencies and clients have a positive experience from pitching through to implementation that establishes Discovery as the partner of choice long term.
• Work directly with key customers and agencies to pitch and convert ideas that will deliver to both client and Discovery objectives.
• Provide regular reporting on pipeline, revenue, insights and opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with the Sales Management Team to ensure goals and teams are aligned across Sales and Integration.
• Lead strategic projects as required.
• Identify and implement new monetisation opportunities that align to the broader business goals.
• Work collaboratively with other Discovery regions on incoming and outbound International sales opportunities.
• Ensure integration campaigns meet company policy and maximise profit outcomes for Discovery.
• Key position metrics include: Key customer revenue growth, budget achievement, conversion rates and staff retention.

Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in leadership roles running high performing teams within the advertising industry preferably with agency, production or television experience
• Relevant tertiary level qualification.
• Strong understanding of production, marketing principles, media strategy and how to create compelling and articulate client presentations
• Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
