Job Description

Overview

The primary responsibility of this role as part of the Record to Report team based in Warsaw is to manage quality services to Discovery Group entities, securing company assets by applying tight controls in the financial transactions, while providing accurate financial information and timely reporting of balances.

Responsibilities
• Actively supporting the EMEA general ledger month-end close activities, related reporting and analysis, in accordance with laws and Discovery required standard.
• Leading and managing monthly reconciliation of accounts and clearing of overdue items identified.
• Assures correct valuation and completeness of all assets and liabilities, by applying tight controls in the financial transactions.
• Ensuring all accounting activity is properly documented in accordance with SOX controls and internal policy.
• Assist with auditors and audit requirements, including SOX testing.
• Ad hoc analysis of various types of financial information.
• Supporting other team members and sharing best practice

Qualifications
• min. 2 years of RTR/GL department is a must
• Strong accounting knowledge
• Degree in Accounting/Finance, or related field (accounting courses will be a plus)
• Very good knowledge of English
• Advanced MS Office skills; Knowledge of SAP system will be a strong asset
• Pro-active, mature and able to work with respect to the deadlines
• Very good teamwork, skills and positive, proactive attitude.
