Discovery has undertaken a major initiative to transform our People & Culture function through the end to end design and implementation of a future state solution including the development of new shared Global Services, and implementation of technologies including SAP SuccessFactors and ServiceNow that will deliver a digitally enabled People & Culture function and workplace.
This role will partner closely with specialist teams to ensure full support for Talent Acquisition activity in EMEA and APAC to create the best possible candidate experience for Discovery employees. This will involve leading, managing and monitoring delivery of a team (based in several EMEA and APAC locations) supporting new joiners activities. We are looking for a passionate leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced international and challenging environment.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the service delivery (recruitment administration and onboarding) in EMEA and APAC for the Discovery employees (focus will be on major markets - UK, France, Poland, Nordic countries, India, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia).
• Lead and develop a team responsible for processing data updates and general administration of recruitment services and onboarding
• Support the maintenance of all relevant content (internal and customer facing alike)
on the Discovery People Portal in partnership with the Knowledge Management team.
• Support the management in the development of an efficient and innovative strategies to meet the operational requirements of the organization in line with agreed KPIs and SLAs
• Work with the management and peers to identify opportunities to improve the candidate experience, both in recruitment and onboarding
• Continuously coach team members on services and performance improvement, providing feedback and training to upskill them
• Partner with the Specialist Recruitment team to anticipate hiring needs based on business growth plans, to ensure correct team sizing to respond to demand
• Act as a point of escalation for complex queries
• Prioritise the workload and requests for team, working closely with other leaders within the broader team to ensure effective delivery across the Global Services offerings
• Ensure collaborative working environment in team to support knowledge sharing and effective balance of team capacity, capabilities and service
• With support from the direct manager, identify and mitigate risk for the supported services
Requirements:
• 7-10 years of overall work experience, minimum 2 in a leadership role
• Proven track of record in working cross countries, in multicultural organizations
• 1-2 years of experience in services or similar environment
• Solid understanding and experience in recruitment / recruitment administration
• Experience / exposure to deployment of recruitment tools / system is highly advantageous but not mandatory
• Experience working with ServiceNow, SuccessFactors, ICiMS and other enabling technologies is desirable
• Experience of building, maintaining and managing strong relationships with stakeholders is a must
• Highly motivated and self-starter, fast-paced with high level of energy and pro-active approach to work
• Ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively to target audiences
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines on multiple projects or tasks concurrently
• Comfortable working with a global consumer base and different cultures
