The Direct To Consumer Group (DTC) is a technology company within Discovery Inc. With Discovery, Food Network, Golf TV, MotorTrend, Eurosport, Discovery Play, and many more brands to support, we build user experiences ranging from classic lean-back viewing to interactive learning applications for smart TVs, web, mobile phones, tablets, and consoles.
With the successful launch of Discovery+ in January, DTC is experiencing rapid growth as we look to expand our offerings to new geographies. To help manage this growth we are looking for an experienced Program Manager to help launch a new onboarding experience for new employees.
The ideal candidate will have experience building and refining onboarding programs for new employees, exemplary written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, the ability to create structure out of ambiguity, and a drive to build a best in class experience for our new employees. This is a role inside a fast-paced start-up environment where we are actively building process and structure befitting a major corporate entity. This position will appeal to a person who is excited to share and apply their experience, unafraid of ambiguity, is motivated by driving change on behalf of employees and has a high bar for excellence.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a Program Manager to join a newly forming Onboarding and Knowledge Management team. This team is responsible for job specific onboarding, standardizing, streamlining, and elevating the experience for new employees and addressing internal information systems to increase access to knowledge across the company. This role will be working directly with the Senior Program Manager of Onboarding and Knowledge Management to build a best in class onboarding experience.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Manage the development and delivery of onboarding training through multiple modalities (ILT, Interactive Learning, Documentation, Video, Webinar, etc.)
• Identify, define, track, and assess the effectiveness of training.
• Plan, validate, and implement suggestions for improvement.
• Effectively identify gaps in training and prioritize development of training materials.
• Build cross functional relationships with leaders across Engineering, People and Culture (HR), Product Management, and others to assess and deliver the right training at the right time.
• Identify, and guide SMEs through the content creation processes
• Proactively support change management, drive content and systematic improvements, and advocate for new employees.
• Create repeatable processes to ensure offerings are maintained and remain accurate as the company grows.

Requirements
• You have a bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in Program Management.
• You have 3+ years' experience with new employee onboarding programs.
• You have designed and delivered learning programs with a focus on adult learning.
• You have a proven track record of defining and delivering cross functional projects.
• You have demonstrated your written and verbal communication skills can be applied to business and technical areas across all levels, from the engineering teams to senior level executives.
• You are comfortable working across all levels, from senior level executives to entry level roles.
• This role will require working with stakeholders across the globe, which means a flexibility to be able to get on calls beyond conventional work hours
• Travel is required both domestic and international averaging about 20% (post pandemic).
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills (not required):
• Bachelors or Masters in learning design and development.
• Demonstrated use of multiple learning methods and linking appropriate methods with learners and outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to assess training effectiveness to stakeholders and leaders.
• Ability to utilize data to analyze and connect outcomes to identify areas of improvement and strengths.
• Ability to work in a start-up environment, adapting quickly to changing circumstances, processes and priorities.
• Technical background in software engineering or related field.
• Experience facilitating ILT courses, train the trainer, and remote presentations.
