Job Description
Overview

The Production Coordinator serves as a key partner to an assigned Executive Partner by providing creative and administrative support. You will serve as a point of contact for shows assigned to the EP and use independent judgment to determine how inquiries should be handled. Additionally, you will work closely with EP to ensure deadlines, budgets and deliverables are met.

Responsibilities
• Evaluate scripts, rough cuts, fine cuts, and provide editorial feedback to EP.
• Assist producers with research and fact checking.
• Coordinate special projects such as internal/external presentation tapes for industry markets/events, quarterly tapes, corporate events, etc.
• Facilitate program fixes (changes in narration, graphics, picture, and audio, as needed.)
• As assigned, review with EP production schedules, treatments, scripts, rough cuts, fine cuts, final screening copies, and other materials.
• Manage jointly with EP the project production schedule for contract compliance and overall project workflow. Track deliverables and communicate fulfillment of production milestones, production issues or changes, to project team members.
• Manage and distribute production delivery schedules, episode descriptions, shooting locations, production company information, and other relevant program updates using appropriate databases.
• Provide, organize, and dispense production information to outside production companies (i.e. clocks, technical guidelines, producer's packet, logo, uplink numbers, credits, copyright language, research information, beta selects, slides, QC results, suggested breaks, etc.)
• Maintain constant communication with production company to ascertain the most accurate production information such as production schedule, shoot locations, episode descriptions, credits, scripts, graphics, etc.
• Make copies/dubs and distribute tapes, scripts, proposals and correspondence.
• Arrange meetings, conference calls, travel arrangements and handle travel and expense reports as requested.
• Assist EP with coordination and communication with other DCI departments. Including:
• Press/IPR – Provide treatments, episode descriptions, cuts, production delivery dates and shoot locations. Coordinate with Press regarding promotable titles, Upfront programs, and TCA to include production personnel relations and presentation tape production.
• Programming – Provide episode descriptions, episode and show titles, program clips for as sales reels, delivery updates, and Upfront information. Develop alternative program titles, facilitate title clearance process, provide parental ratings, and recommend viewer advisories.
• Program Editing/Shared Program Services – Notification of master deliveries, production schedules, suggested edits, viewer advisories, renarration and off-line / on-line supports as needed, and assist in resolving QC issues.
• Production Management – Provide timely updates on production schedules, milestone payment confirmation and other deliverables information.
• Viewer Relations – Provide Viewer Relations representatives / viewers with airdates, contact information, and filed program content questions.
• Awards / Competition – Provide required information for selected award entries and/or materials (includes information such as clips, episode and segment selection, program descriptions, credits, contact info.)
• International – Provide production updates for shows with international investments, inform appropriate individuals of changes or fixes to programs that may be of concern to international networks.
• Marketing & Promotions – Assist in selecting and distributing tapes, scripts, and artwork for promo editing and consumer marketing campaigns.
• Business Affairs / Legal – Coordination and communication with Business Affairs and Legal as needed regarding business and contractual matters.
• Respond to special requests from Viewer Relations, Ad Sales, Affiliate Sales, etc

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of skills, training, and experience.
• Two years experience as production assistant or coordinator.
• Working knowledge of field and post-production.
• Ability to supervise editing sessions and audio mixes.
• Strong research skills.
• Strong communication skills-verbal and written.
