The role

We are looking for our next Motion Designer superstar to join our award-winning design team producing engaging and creative content across our suite of Newshub programmes and platforms.

You will be a curious and passionate designer with a fantastic eye for detail. Bursting with creative energy and ideas, you will have an interest in news, current affairs and storytelling design. You will have 2-3+ years of experience working in motion design. Your great communication skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities will help you meet deadlines on exciting and ever-changing projects.

Responsibilities
• Create high-quality imagery and motion graphics for our daily news shows.
• Collaborate with our directors, journalists and presenters.
• Produce in-depth informational graphics.
• Design engaging 3D graphics and environments.
• Ability to generate original ideas and design concepts.
• Understand and be able to work within the Newshub brand.
• Follow Discovery's code of conduct and health and safety requirements.

Qualifications
• A degree in Motion Design and/or relevant industry experience.
• Skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud and Cinema 4D.
• A collaborative team player with leadership potential.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve, conceptualise and create.
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and able to prioritise and multitask.
• Knowledge in VIZ artist or Weatherscape is also an advantage.
