Job Description
The role of Media Asset Management (MAM) Co-coordinator is to manage the asset delivery workflow, from receipt of assets through to Media Services, according to Transmission priority or other agreed deadlines. To feedback any issues to the relevant teams. Ensure content is uploaded to the cloud & ready for Broadcast/digital playout, resolving any issues. Providing content to pre agreed internal / external clients & third-party broadcasters. Update and amend workflows according to information provided by other Discovery teams. Please note that this position is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities
• Overseeing the delivery of file material required for Ingest, from both internal and/or external suppliers.
• Generate & update MISR missing lists for all types of content, communicating these updated lists to all relevant departments & collating all updates to master lists.
• Action any missing lists provided by third party broadcasters, ensuring content is ready to air in time for TX.
• Action cloud missing lists (NAFT) created by DTTC (Sterling TX) & distributing these lists to internal teams.
• Overseeing issues with content & Mediaflex Ingest workflows for all types of content, problem solving and escalating problems as and when required.
• Raise or update/amend Mediaflex workflows as and when required for all types of content.
• Main point of contact for MTP&O departments for long and short form content, updating them on the status of material due for transmission or other deadlines. Acting as a hub between other departments, feeding information back where relevant.
• Actively pursue missing material with internal departments or external suppliers until material provided or material removed from schedule.
• Process Sky & C4 spot/missing lists, and liaise with UK commercial platforms to ensure all material is delivered in time for TX.
• Answer all and any queries regarding material held, its status and any other relevant information requested.
• Provide file delivery of material held at Chiswick Park to internal, or previously agreed external clients.
• Manage the external archive, organising ingest of physical media at our tape Archive in Sterling.
• Responsible for ensuring database information is accurate and up to date. Assist in the regular housekeeping of all storage.
• To respond to phone call and e-mail queries on content and statuses as required.
• Support the MAM Manager with training and development of team members and projects.
• Such other duties required by manager from time to time.
• Provide cover or support due to sickness or absences.

Requirements

Essential
• Computer literate & working Knowledge of Excel/Google docs.
• Excellent organisational/administrative skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent people and interpersonal skills, good team player.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to different demands.
• High levels of initiative, motivation and time management.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Ability to handle working within a pressurised and fast paced environment.
• Ability to work confidently across numerous areas of the department to the same high level.

Preferrable
• Experience within a busy transmission/post-production Media Management environment.
• Working knowledge of Media Management practices.
• Technical: knowledge of Television processes/terminology, previous use of broadcasting systems.
• Knowledge of file formats
• Understanding of file delivery (FTP/MediaShuttle/WeTransfer)
