Overview

The Manager – Fraud Analytics for Discovery DTC will be focused on leading the fraud strategy to increase conversion, to mitigate bad debt, and to reduce friction to good consumers through analytics. The candidate for this role will be a leader who is able to prioritize projects, to communicate and understand ambiguous situations and data, and to enable others. The manager will report directly to the Director of Fraud Prevention and will work with a team reporting to the CFO of Global Digital DTC.

The Discovery DTC portfolio includes a number of businesses that focus on key consumer passion groups, including Discovery+, Discovery's Go TV Everywhere product, Food Network Kitchen, MotorTrend, Eurosport Player, Discovery Golf/PGA Tour business, the Global Cycling Network and others.

The DTC business is constantly growing, and the position will play a critical role in developing the global Fraud strategy for all Discovery DTC services as well as support the strategy of the business by identifying and researching growth and cost saving opportunities.

Responsibilities
• Own, build, and update analytical processes that will drive improvements to the consumer experience while mitigating bad debt.
• Analyze the performance of machine learning models and risk rules to drive advancements to fraud decisioning.
• Advance the reporting of KPI's and metrics with the ability to present and explain to leadership.
• R eview and improve data sources to ensure that data quality is being met to address the needs of day-to-day operations.
• Work closely with payment strategy team to drive increases to order acceptance.
• Collaborate with internal product and analytic teams to drive enhancements to areas of risk.
• Work in partnership with payment and fraud vendors to enhance their tools and capabilities to meet Discovery's needs.
• Be proactive in staying on top of current industry trends and technologies to deliver an innovative fraud strategy.

Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years' experience in data analytics.
• Minimum 1 years' experience in a leadership role
• Bachelor's degree in Math, Economics, Computer Science, Physics, Business, or related field.
• Advanced skills in SQL
• Advanced skills in Excel
• Experience with Tableau or PowerBI
• Preferred experience with Python, R, Java, or other coding language
• Preferred experience with ETL systems such as Alteryx, Talend, etc.
• An understanding and ability to solve business problems through data driven methodologies.
• Ability to handle multiple fast moving projects simultaneously, work independently, and a strong attention to detail a must.
• Must be curious and willing to challenge the norm as fraud is constantly changing.
