Job Description
The Corporate Relations Team is responsible for managing global client relations on behalf of Discovery's Senior Leadership Team. This includes communication strategy & execution, managing large-scale client hospitality programs, corporate meetings & offsites, corporate sponsorships & galas and managing Discovery's global branded merchandise program.
Responsibilities
• Manage and plan internal & external corporate projects on behalf of Discovery's Senior Leadership team
• Lead on event operations including timelines, overviews, budget, etc. on behalf of internal clients
• Support all elements related to corporate sponsorships and galas
• Manage event marketing platform for key corporate events, building custom invitations, landing pages, registration forms, tracking RSVPs, managing check-in, etc.
• Assist team on corporate sport & entertainment hospitality programs
• Manage & reconcile Corporate Relations purchasing card
• Maintain and update corporate photo archives
• Oversee Corporate Relations client database
• Ongoing research of global media & hospitality industry trends related to hotel & restaurant openings/upgrades, private event spaces, new event technologies, caterers, etc.
• Provide onsite event support as needed
• Perform ad-hoc responsibilities for Corporate Communications team
Requirements
• BA, BS or higher
• 5-7+ years of project management experience
• Must have attention to detail, organizational skills, and proven ability to juggle multiple priorities
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment while following tasks through to completion under tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills & ability to work effectively with a wide range of staff at all levels
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel to support Corporate Relations projects as needed
• Skills in Splash, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a plus
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
