Position Summary
We are hiring a seasoned Analytics Manager in Bellevue, Washington to investigate, discover, and scale actionable insights that drive improvements across our food, home, and lifestyle products. The Analytics Manager will be an experienced analytics professional and leader in the Data Science and Analytics field. The manager will be hands-on in performing analysis, creating business intelligence reports, and lead a team of 2-4 analysts.

In this role, the manager will supervise analysts working cross-functionally with data engineering, product managers and business stakeholders. The manager will also take on analysis tasks routinely and deliver actionable insights, provide business health metrics and drive product ideas in collaboration with product managers. They will use big data platforms and business intelligence technology to drive these insights and product capabilities. This leader will work closely with product, design, content, and marketing teams to develop insights that drive material improvements to benefit Discovery's customers.

Responsibilities
• Manage a team of analysts working cross-functionally across direct-to-consumer organization.
• Translate ambiguous questions and generate new hypotheses about the product through a deep understanding of the data, customers, and business.
• Supervise the design, prototyping, and implementation of complex analyses.
• Partner with product, marketing, engineering, and analytics stakeholders to determine analytics solutions needed to drive insights and analytics on key business questions.
• Lead A/B testing ideas to drive innovation, iteration and optimization of direct-to-consumer products.
• Partner with relevant engineering, data science, and research teams across the organization to identify problems and analyze data relevant to informing the direction of direct-to-consumer products.
• Lead large-scale analysis across multiple data sets to deliver meaningful insights and answer business questions.
• Design and build reports and dashboards to drive consistent and repeatable self-service insights.
• Effectively communicate insights and recommendations on company strategy to key stakeholders.
• Develop and own a comprehensive analytics roadmap and strategy by working together with engineering, product and other cross-functional teams.
• Support the analysts and other team members, helping them enhance their skills and understanding of business.

Requirements
• Degree in analytical or engineering or relevant field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in analytics field with at least 2 years of people management experience
• Strategic thinker, capable of driving the big picture and breaking it down to analytics deliverables
• Strong project management skills, handle multiple priorities, and effective in delegating tasks and responsibilities
• High degree of attention to detail to ensure accuracy of analysis and insights
• Comfortable manipulating and analyzing complex data from multiple sources, and designing large scale experiments
• Ability to extract insights from large data and communicate the findings in clear, concise and actionable manner
• Demonstrated success in building self-service and repeatable business intelligent solutions.
• Strong experience in analytical tools, languages (SQL, Python, R, PHP) and distributed computing (Hive, Hadoop, Spark)
• Experience with Adobe Analytics, Tableau, MS Power BI is a plus
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
