SVP/GVP – Strategy & Business Operations
Location (East Coast US or London UK)

The Group Vice President Strategy & Business Operations is a member of The Office of the Chief Information Office Leadership team. The GVP Strategy & Business Operations reports directly to the SVP, Office of the CIO, and leads a function that provides internal consulting services, strategic planning and road mapping, whilst implementing robust and measurable processes to all aspects of the business and financial performance across the CIO's Enterprise Technology & Operations (ET&O) group.

Working at the intersection of business and technology, they work alongside business leadership to define holistic strategies that combine business objectives with technology opportunities. This leader will apply knowledge of best practices to define how technology will shape the overall strategy, governance, organization structure/staffing, architecture and processes to maximize the impact of technology.

The function evaluates new opportunities, assessing business strategies, solving complex internal operational issues, coordinating among technology towers and between the Global Transformation Office and Corporate partners. They perform various special projects and analyses all in support of growth initiatives and operational optimization across technology portfolio. The individual must be an excellent communicator, comfortable presenting to senior executives and stakeholders across Warner Bros. Discovery.

This function will maximize business value by conducting rigorous analyses and developing strategic multi-year road maps for the CIO in concert with other IT leaders and business teams. These professionals understand best practices and will work to define strategies that may include governance, organization structure and staffing, enterprise models, business capability models, and process definitions

There is a strong focus on standards definition, quality and measurable performance, which is always evolving as the function matures. Responsible leading a function which allows seamless running of the department, whilst implementing whilst implementing rigorous, measurable TBM processes to all aspects of Enterprise Technology & Operations.

Special focus in the role is on leading the ideation and business case development process for technology teams for the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, ensuring synergy and revenue opportunities are exploited. This includes tracking cost and value across the program, identifying risk and developing solutions to remedy.

The ideal candidate will have experience hands on experience structuring multi-million-dollar strategic initiatives. Extensive expertise managing multidisciplinary resources, as well as best practices and tools to drive efficiency for internal clients.

Responsibilities

Responsible for leading the Strategy Office in ET&O. Leads the development of strategic initiatives from initiation to business case approval. Partners closely with the PMO and Business Change on program execution start up.

Perform various analyses by leveraging resources and insights gathered from a broad range of functional experts and data sources, including analytics, research, etc. Create compelling presentations and other documents supported by strong qualitative and quantitative storytelling.

Implements a robust TBM framework to tell the value of technology to the business. Develops a comprehensive narrative of ET&O financial performance. Build detailed financial models and business plans in support of the long-range plan and annual operating plan.

Leads the goal setting framework for ET&O. Develop group KPIs and measurements, tracks performance through dashboarding and reporting up to senior corporate leadership. Develops the ET&O Scorecard.

Supports the budget planning and forecast cycle supporting budget managers, partners very closely within Finance.
Oversees Cloud FinOps governance: enable business value in access to IT-based cloud services. Manages capacity, ensure controls in place to save expenditure.

Responsible for always upholding the Code of Ethics, and ensuring high standards of accountability within the business.

Lead and inspire a team of global strategy and business operations professionals, providing guidance and coaching as required. Coach and mentor staff to reach their full potential.

Qualifications
• Proven leadership success in dynamic, fast paced environment with multiple constituents
• Strong strategic management experience with a passion for processes and procedures. 15+ Minimum years of prior experience in management consulting and/or strategic planning.
• Strategic knowledge of the linear/digital business and media ecosystem
• Superior analytical, financial modelling, and research skills
• Highly proficient in communicating complex ideas and data sets visually in an effective way for senior-level executives
• Experience of implementing a TBM framework
• Good understanding of product management, platforms, systems ecosystem to align various technology and business stakeholders towards strategic investment goals
• Maintain strong work ethics with high integrity. Consensus and team builder. Must be extremely results oriented.

• Ability to multitask and handle on a proactive basis, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment to maximize time-management and efficiencies

• Experience in Financial Management of large portfolios
• Excellent in engaging with various technology & business stakeholders at varied level to align them towards the common objectives
• Required Education: Master's or Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred Education: MBA from a high-ranking university.
• Deep strategic knowledge of the linear/digital business and media ecosystem
