Most recently, our group is behind the launch of discovery+, Discovery's global streaming service, serving as the definitive destination for real life entertainment with the largest ever content offering at launch, which debuted in the US in January 2021.

As the Global Director, Product Marketing you will play a key role in the evolution and success of the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) business. You will build and lead a team that sits at the intersection of marketing and product verticals to support and facilitate subscriber growth and retention for discovery+. You will be responsible for developing product marketing strategies by understanding & prioritizing user needs, and develop go-to-market approaches to drive awareness and adoption of features, experiences and new marketing capabilities Globally. In this role, you'll lead cross-functional teams across regions to bring marketing solutions to life, product enhancements and features to subscribers and drive CLV for our base, maximizing lifetime value, loyalty and retention. This role is highly collaborative and works closely with the product, strategy team, brand, sales, CRM, analytics, research, and partnerships to drive retention and engagement. You will champion the voice of the customer into the business and evangelize that insight across workstreams.

Responsibilities
• Develop global marketing strategies that drive user engagement by improving the customer experience within the product, enhance discovery of relevant content, and bring to market high value features that drive demand.
• Work closely with analytics, research, product, and other cross functional teams, to clearly define target audiences both demographically and psychographically, identifying the key drivers of engagement and churn while illuminating actionable insights from customer data to continually improve marketing efforts and drive CLV.
• Partner with subscriber growth and analytics/research team, leveraging qualitative and quantitative research and data to inform go-to-market strategies that successfully launch new products/features into the market.
• Possess a deep understanding of the product by working closely with the product team to drive the customer narrative.
• Partner with leaders across product, analytics, brand, research, regional stakeholders, and customer service teams to establish cross functional knowledge transfer - acting as the connective tissue that aligns the target segments, value prop, market analysis, campaigns to drive engagement. You will ensure that every team is working towards the common goal.
• Develop messaging source document as input to all downstream marketing to drive holistic messaging strategy to ensure clear and consistent communication to customers throughout the entire funnel in every region as it relates to the product benefit and features.
• Share key learnings and make recommendations about future growth and product positioning in parity with global rollout and regional markets.
• Identify opportunities to improve and optimize on existing customer communications as well as scope out new and emerging channels in partnership with lifecycle marketing teams.
• Partner with networks, programming, media, and creative team to drive in platform engagement opportunities.

Qualifications
• 7-10 years of experience leading Marketing teams and setting strategy.
• Experience scaling a growing operation on a global level.
• Successfully developed CRM strategies for digital products.
• A passion for problem solving within an ever changing industry.
• The ability to lead and communicate cross-functionally with Tech/Product & Data teams, as well as other departments.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive action.
• Ability to get into the detail, problem solve, resolve issues and bring teams together
• A great communicator who can tell the full story at all levels within the organization, bringing all stakeholders along with them
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
