Job Description
The Director of Digital Scheduling will be responsible for programming and publishing content for Magnolia's DTC product in conjunction with the strategy and brand teams. Under the direction of the VP, the Director of Digital Scheduling will oversee content curation and in-product scheduling, as well as track day-to-day logistical needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in content, programming, planning, and/or project management, ideally in digital media and entertainment, with SVOD experience preferred.

Responsibilities

1. Works with SVP and VP of Scheduling to build and execute DTC scheduling strategy

2. Oversees content curation and in-product scheduling

3. Tracks all video, metadata, and artwork deliverables in real time and publishes to product in a deadline-driven environment

4. Maintains and refreshes assets, working closely with marketing points of contact to gather key art and video

5. Programs key promotional areas in collaboration with social, digital, and network marketing teams for effective content promotion

6. Manages in-app stunt and feature rails, working hand-in-hand with the strategy and brand teams

7. Possesses a deep knowledge of program library to thoroughly maximize inventory

8. Serves as Magnolia's liaison for Discovery's larger DTC team, working to ensure alignment on company-wide priorities

9. Troubleshoots and resolves in-app quality-control issues as needed

10. Evaluates product performance in conjunction with the research team, recommending changes when appropriate

11. Stays current with latest TVE and OTT products and programming strategies to maintain high level of content/experience that keeps pace with audience expectations

12. Works side by side with linear scheduling to ensure parity in strategy and priorities

13. Communicates DTC strategy updates to the Magnolia team and Discovery portfolio at large

14. Serves as primary backup user in Distribute

Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in New Media, Journalism, Communication, or related field
* 5+ years' experience in content, programming, planning, and/or project management
* Experience with online content management and publishing systems preferred
* Must love TV and possess a strong working knowledge of competitive landscape
* Must be highly creative and able to take direction in execution of high-value, high-engagement content experiences
* Ability to meet changing demands and adapt to frequently changing priorities
* Excellent writing, technical, video, and project/time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
* Keen eye for visual language and content packaging
* Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and share ownership of projects
* Must be a master multitasker with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities at once
* Proactive problem-solver who is prepared to troubleshoot under tight deadlines
* Must have the legal right to work in the United States
