Overview

Marketing Science powers Discovery's internal Global Subscriber Acquisition Team managing the data and analytics for all owned & paid media globally. Data engineering, analysis, operations and data science expertise all sit within the team to streamline collaboration and create agility. We are an in-house data product team working with big data, including analytics, smart tv data and MMPs to measure billions of media impressions weekly. We continually work to enhance the data processing, code, methodologies and products deployed to drive dashboard reporting, multi-touch attribution, media mix models, incrementality, ROI reporting and real-time optimization… and we are just getting started. The Role

The Marketing Science Data Taxonomy Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the integrity of paid and owned media campaign naming conventions and the tagging taxonomy across linear, programmatic, search, and social channels. The role will work in the marketing science team to create consistency in naming conventions across Discovery+ globally and help streamline data collection and aggregation across digital and linear media systems.

Responsibilities
• Work with the Marketing Science team to help execute an overall naming convention and tagging structure for domestic and international paid and owned efforts
• Develop deep understanding of measurement rationale behind naming convention needs and assist the media strategists and marketing teams with questions as needed
• Help implement a consistent structure for naming convention variables across multiple regions/countries
• Align campaign naming conventions across ad operations and our set-top box attribution partner to create consistency for streamlined reporting.
• Implement naming structures that support granular views of creative and audience performance for optimization and data science projects
• Support the data mapping of linear and digital campaign data
• Cleanup historical campaign conventions for linear and digital campaigns
• Act as final approver for all owned media entries in promo library before campaign launches
• Audit and validate campaign structures within the database to identify issues and fix inconsistencies
• Maintain documentation for overall campaign naming conventions and tagging structure

Qualifications
• College Degree Required – Emphasis in Marketing and/or Data and Analytics a plus
• Strong data entry and analysis skills
• Comfortable working with large datasets
• Proficient in Gsuite products, specifically Sheets, also Excel a plus
• Utilize creative problem solving and analytical thinking skills
• Be able to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail
• Work effectively both individually and within a team environment
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
• Nice to have but not required: Basic SQL understanding
