About the team

Discovery Financial Planning & Analyses (FP&A) Corporate is a place where you closely support board of directors of the company listed on New York Stock Exchange. This team drives the guidelines and business definitions from finance perspective for the entire company globally. It is unique role and opportunity to be involved in corporate finance processes and have exposure to top leaders on each market Discovery is present. About the role
• Identify key market trends, drivers and variance analysis for earnings discussions by partnering with COE, Accounting, Corporate Finance and Investor Relations

• Ensure accuracy of financial data, work with Accounting and Reporting teams to ensure reconciliation to corporate P&L by account

• Assist in building finance guidelines and definitions to meet corporate requirements and deadlines

• Participate in closing activities, writing summaries, collecting variance drivers.

• Maintain global budget and forecast models

• Prepare monthly risk and opportunities report for the month and for the quarter

• Provide variance analysis commentaries and include them in various reports

• Track unusual and explain variances

• Prepare forecast models based on drivers, pacing and index vs. prior periods

• Assist in the preparation of annual budget and long-range plan

• Assist in special projects & ad hoc analysis as required

• Prepare SOX control checks over P&L and BS

• Provide Quality Assurance for developed reports in BI tools

About you
• min. 3 years of experience in FP&A/Controlling (Corporate FP&A experience will be an advantage)

• Fluent English (both in writing & speaking)

• BS degree in Accounting/Finance, Economics or quantitative field

• Strong Analytical skills, ability to transform large data sets into clear concise analysis

• Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in Excel

• Persistent attention to detail

• Exceptional team player with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to independently manage workload and prioritize time

• High energy and sense of urgency in completing all tasks, proactive and enthusiastic to streamlining processes

• Entertainment/Digital Media experience a big plus
