Overview

Key area of responsibility is the development, planning, execution and evaluation of sales and marketing activities for Discovery Networks in MENA.
This person will build and develop day to day relationships with key external partners to deliver the sales strategy and meet revenue goals. To do this, close collaboration is also required with internal teams such as programming, digital, production and the London based EMEA office to achieve effective workflows.

Responsibilities
• Developing and managing the relationship with our advertising representatives in UAE, and supporting the commercial manager for the same
• Working with the commercial manager to develop direct client relationships as required
• Developing creative and tailor-made media solutions ranging from spot, sponsorship, branded content to fully integrated communication campaigns
• Providing best in class service in terms of client service and customer focus
• Briefing and controlling of external partners like media and creative agencies,clients, service providers and production companies
• Working with the brand and production team to develop and execute an integrated promotables calendar, and clients campaigns
• Communicating highlights by creating sales decks and sales propositions to ensure key programmes are supported for both Dubai and Johannesburg
• Taking care of CRM, client and revenue reporting and aftersales service
• Execution of deals to ensure they are broadcasted on time and on budget, for OnAir and Online
• Handle purchase orders and budget tracking, invoice processing, and liaising payment terms with suppliers.

Qualifications
• At least 4 years TV and/or Media Agency experience, preferably including sales experience and a commercial mindset
• Proven track record in project management (internally and externally)
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluency in English and Arabic languages essential (written and verbal)
• High level proficiency with current office applications, especially Excel and Power Point packages
• Highly experience in digital and social media
• Accurate, clear and service orientated
• Attention to detail and creative with the ability to think laterally and come up with new and innovative ideas to strengthen our brands with the end user
• Good team player

• Timely, and technically flawless execution of all planned campaigns
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines
• Ability to work across departments to motivate and coordinate people
• Ability to communicate at all levels both internally and externally
• Sales – supporting the delivery of revenue goals
• Administrative – accuracy and timely completion of paperwork pertaining to contracts, bookings, and CRM, sales reports by the sales team.
