About the Opportunity – Team Lead, High-Profile Localisation Operations
Overview of responsibilities:
• Provide supervision, direction and leadership to the High-Profile Project Coordination team.
• Maintain ownership of High-Profile Project Coordination processes and development of more efficient procedures according to operational needs.
• Ensure that deadlines are met.
• Oversee direct reports, depending on the needs of the department, monitoring their performance, conducting one-to-one meetings and their performance evaluations.
• Ensure that staffing and training levels meet production needs, identify additional team needs and report them to the Senior Manager.
• Oversee the training of new Project Coordinators and report to the Senior Manager regarding their progress.
• Proactively identify potential issues/problems with projects in progress and under hypercare, formulate responses and solutions in a resourceful manner.
• Collaborate with global Project Coordination Management, English Operations and Translator Management teams to establish and promote best practices for localization project management.
• Participate in global initiatives to coordinate, templatize, and operationalize plans to improve and streamline processes and ensure consistent execution across the entire global Project Coordination team.
• Assist with redeliveries and rejections, identifying causes of redeliveries/rejections, completing Corrective Action Reports when applicable, and proposing solutions to meet KPI targets.
• Be the first point of escalation for project management quality and capacity concerns.
• Maintain team metrics on quality, productivity and on-time delivery.
• Oversee the updates of the work instructions, documentation and checklists for departmental staff.
• Provide weekly escalation summaries of production and staffing issues to management.
• Participate in manager-level meetings and initiatives.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule according to business needs.
Other Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on production-related initiatives to increase customer satisfaction.
• Promote cooperation with non-London subtitling operations teams.
• Other duties as assigned.

The person:
• Bachelor of Arts degree in Media, Communications or Translation (or equivalent), MA in Translation an advantage.
• Extensive knowledge of managing complex localisation processes is essential.
• Previous experience on cloud-based platforms for localisation services is an advantage.
• Experience with team supervision and training.
• The ability to engage with and motivate culturally diverse, distributed teams (listen, influence, lead).
• An attraction to applying deep critical thinking to solve difficult problems.
• Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Broad cultural knowledge and wide range of interests.
• Team player, detail-oriented. Able to work proactively on a number of simultaneous projects under pressure of a deadline.
• Good command of Microsoft Windows systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google G-Suite.
