Position Summary
As the Senior Account Manager you will be the main point of contact with the Disney client for our Digital and Disney+ Catalog subtitling teams.
Main Duties:
• Client Services: Regular in-person meetings (when deemed safe) and daily calls with the client are a main function for this role to ensure all client needs are met.
• Meet the client's request for all work to be delivered right and on-time at 99% success rate.
• Utilize the client's project management software to keep them up to date on the progress of each step in the workflow.
• Ensure client emails are responded to within one hour.
• Denote any Client specific rules and special instructions to all departments in a clear and concise format.
• Senior Managerial Responsibility: You will oversee a team of 28 account coordinators, senior account coordinators, and account managers in Bangalore and Burbank to ensure all projects are managed successfully and efficiently. You will be responsible for overseeing our Digital and Disney+ Catalog teams.
• Delegate new projects to specific team. Workload balancing for your team will be key.
• Regularly check-in with internal team members to ensure everything is on track. Troubleshoot with team leads as needed.
• Keep an open line of communication between yourself and your team leads. Escalate any production issues while being open and ready with suggestions for process improvement and resolution.
• Oversee the templates and reference documentation for the different workflows and make changes/updates as the work evolves to gain efficiencies.
• Monitor your team's development and make sure they are progressing as employees. Lead, train, and mentor them to push them to the next level.
• Work with other teams (Scripting, Dubbing, Mastering, etc.) to maintain the larger picture of the end-to-end aspect of workflows.
• Ensure projects are billed in a timely manner and keep track of bill progress for the team.
• Subtitling Workflow Responsibilities: As a leader on the team, you will also need to be able to understand all administrative functions of the process so that you can be hands-on with orders and troubleshooting.
• You will be trained in managing all aspects of subtitling projects for Disney+ and non-Disney+ Digital workflows, from the initial work request through to final delivery and post-delivery action when required, supervising the execution of your team's projects with foreign offices in Bangalore, London, and Los Angeles. Once your training is complete your role will be to step back and manage from the senior level.
• Work with internal production teams and external client contacts to maintain delivery schedule.
• Leaning how to set up projects on Sfera and sending out work requests to production teams. This includes research of needed materials (dubbing scripts, insert lists, existing subtitle files, etc.).
• Monitoring availability of materials and following up on needed assets – Video and scripts.
• Ensuring your team's projects are delivered on the correct due date and looking ahead. Will need to check in with teams to ensure they are on track ahead of scheduled delivery.
• Liaising with the client regularly to ensure special instructions are implemented.
• Understanding the POAs set by Project Coordinators for all atypical projects.
• Acting on client rejections on priority (this includes research and response to the client with root cause analysis and preventative solutions).
• Ensuring the client is billed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in team calls with representatives from our global offices.
• Ensuring team morale is high and having a zero-tolerance policy for negativity.
What You Bring
• BA or BS degree required.
• 5+ years subtitling localization experience required.
• Experience managing direct reports.
• Must have strong interpersonal, cross-cultural, and communication skills.
• Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced, large team environment.
• Must also be able to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, inventory, internet, order processing, and database software.
• Solid technical understanding of the television or film distribution industry.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and/or weekends to meet project deadlines.
