Resource Coordinator - Scripting

Position Summary

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy understanding the details and reasons behind products and processes. It requires an organized individual who can balance multiple conversations and goals at once. In this role, you will work with the Production Manager, Scripting, Operations Manager, Training, Quality, and Recruitment. Ultimately, as Resource Coordinator Scripting, you will coordinate and direct freelance linguists, or resources, through their onboarding, training, and work with Deluxe Scripting overall. This position is based remotely in either Spain or the UK (although you able able to attend our offices in Barcelona, Madrid or London should you wish).
Outcomes and Accomplishments

Resource Coordinators work with the Scripting Team to ensure linguists are given clear objectives and instructions so that they are able to meet Deluxe's expected level of scripting and translation quality. Daily responsibilities include:
• Act as the first point of contact for internal and external queries regarding Scripting linguists
• Provide clarity and next steps at all stages
• Maintain and improve the organization of the department's user pool
• Blend independent work and collaboration with a diverse team
• Understand Scripting's place in the localization and translation workflow
• Perform outreach to non-Scripting linguists, both internal and external
• Assign, prioritize, and ensure the training path of each user
• Maintain user trackers, metrics, and profile information
• Assist with creation and maintenance of processes and corresponding documentation
• Maintain and improve your understanding of all Scripting products.

What You Bring
• BA/BS Degree in Language Studies, Communication or applicable equivalent experience
• Ideally 1-3 years of experience in coordinating complex projects
• A familiarity with coordinating complex workflows
• A familiarity with managing or communicating with large, distributed teams
• Experience with translation or established comfort working with multiple languages/cultures.
• Experience with scripting, transcription, or text editing
• Experience engaging with people of disparate cultures
• Ability to think critically about non-English projects and their interaction with English dubbing and subtitling
• Experience working with large globally distributed teams
• An attraction to applying critical thinking to difficult problems
• The ability to present and explain complex ideas in a way that produces understanding and engagement
• Preferably have an intermediate knowledge of another language besides English, or familiarity level with more than one language
