Position Summary
Are you interested in shaping the future of localized movies and television? As Manager of Dubbing Operations, you will be instrumental in the implementation of long-term dubbing operational plans that ensure audiences around the world experience the highest quality of localized content. You will have accountabilities for all aspects of daily dubbing operations which includes managing forecasting, capacity, and utilization planning, owning dubbing production workflows and service level agreements, vendor management, dub quality analysis and performance metrics. In this role, you will monitor evolving market needs and engage in developing solutions that push innovative boundaries to help localization vendors transform their processes to deliver high quality dubbed content with accelerated timelines.
As an ideal candidate, you will bring dubbing management experience to help raise the bar and are an expert in the fields of localization processes, strategic planning and risk assessment. You will work cross functionally with global Client Services, Bids and Billing teams, Scripting and Creative teams, Audio Description, Audio and Video Editorial, Mastering, Platform, Fulfillment, Linguistic Quality, Product, Finance, Marketing and Legal.
Main Duties
• Oversee local dubbing operation team and processes
• Own dubbing workflow and dubbing best practices
• Analyze and identify specific risks (inherent & residual) and associated risk ratings within dubbing operational workflows to target areas of improvement
• Create, test and distribute workflow guidelines for new processes. Always look to centralize and streamline processes.
• Document industry best practices as it relates to content creative strategies, cultural awareness of territory nuances and physical production. Ensure best practices are known, distributed and followed across all teams.
• Monitor client requests and dub vendor activities, service level agreements and shared responsibility agreements to ensure compliance with agreed contractual terms and business needs
• Ensure internal teams and dub vendors have appropriate standard operating procedures and business rules for each service agreement to enhance the overall relationship for quality outcomes
• Oversee tracking overall dubbing market trends and dub vendor capacity to support planning and utilization reporting
• Oversee tracking whether vendors provide quality, reliable and on-time delivery standards and are utilizing appropriate planning, processes and resources
• Partner with stakeholders to investigate vendor issue escalations and create timely remediation plans
• Manage vendor performance data collection, analysis and reporting
• Collaborate with the Training Team to create and publish internal dubbing guidelines that support a streamlined global approach to dubbing procedures at Deluxe.
• Collaborate with Product Teams to ensure user and vendor needs are met with the greatest efficiency
• Maintain excellent client and vendor relationships to create an exceptional, positive, collaborative experience
• Represent Deluxe in a positive, professional and innovative manner and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment
What You Bring
• Bachelor's Degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Production, Post-Production or applicable equivalent experience
• An attraction to storytelling, serving the customer, collaboration and teamwork
• Experience in audiovisual technology, knowledge of audio formats and dubbing processes
• Experience interacting with global localization providers, dub studios and subtitle companies
• Experience with a variety of centralized localization workflows and product types across multiple regions and languages
• Experience with managing complex dubbing audio projects simultaneously, with follow through to meet aggressive timelines
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills across all levels
• Experience with project management tools, data collection and analysis to drive improvements
• An attraction to applying deep critical thinking on difficult problems and finding solutions
• The ability to identify risks and effectively manage activities to minimize impact
• Exceptional personnel management and leadership skills with ability to work independently and contribute to cross-functional teams
