Community Manager - Localization
Position Summary
The Community Manager will reshape and enhance our freelancer community support program, expanding the team's mission to create and maintain a sustainable program for community engagement through social media and direct communication with our freelance linguists, and build a lasting relationship and a strong brand image for Deluxe Localization.
Localization Community Management
Deluxe currently provides a community support network for our freelance translators via an email ticketing system and private social media page, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve a wide array of queries. As the senior manager, you will oversee this team to maintain excellent support to our linguists. At the same time, you will work with internal stakeholders to design, implement and maintain a transformed vision of this team, expanding Deluxe's brand and reputation in the freelance localization community via a multi-tiered approach to include public relations initiatives, promote thought leadership in the localization industry, foster connection and belonging via communication systems and web apps, and enhance relationships by developing loyalty and awards programs. You will work cross-functionally with Project Coordination, Talent Acquisition, Linguistic Quality, Translator Resources and Training teams to help position Deluxe as a preferred client for the international translator community.
Main Duties
• Oversee community support team and maintain excellent support for freelance collaborators
• Monitor and respond to social media posts on department-maintained pages.
• Create and maintain public relations initiatives which promote brand awareness and loyalty among freelancers
• Create and collaborate on public-facing content which conveys thought leadership on Deluxe's part and contributes to the localization community at large
• Work with developers and other stakeholders to expand communication systems for freelancers
• Initiate freelancer loyalty and rewards programs
• Work with stakeholders to conduct regular surveys and polls to monitor translator engagement
• Develop a system of metrics and data to capture the effectiveness of Community Management
What You Bring
• University degree or equivalent professional experience
• 3 years+ public relations or marketing experience
• Proven experience in crisis management
• Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, reacting quickly to escalations and able to handle high-volume communications from multiple sources
• Experience and knowledge in the localization industry as a whole
• Experience and knowledge of the media and entertainment industry
• Experience in subtitling localization preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Fluency in additional languages is a plus
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
• Result-oriented attitude
• Experience in working with multinational and multicultural teams, and cultures that extend beyond the corporate footprint
• Skilled problem-solver who thinks critically and creatively and is able to determine root cause of issues
• The ability to multitask and meet agreed upon deadlines
