Business Development & Strategic Planning Analyst

Position Summary

Playing a crucial part in supporting the development of Deluxe Cinema's long-term strategy and evaluate and analyse growth strategies that expands Deluxe Cinema's business worldwide. You'll influence strategic decision-making, contribute to business planning and translate plans into detailed initiatives. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses and lead work streams within broader projects including due diligence, negotiations, and deal execution on potential investment opportunities. Using appropriate business and modelling tools, you'll provide high quality research and present well thought-out recommendations to Executive Level managers to bring results.

Main Duties:
• Supporting corporate strategy initiatives (assessing acquisitions, investments, and new initiatives), and Global business development projects (assessing new growth areas, strategic partnerships etc.), to expand Deluxe's presence in the rapidly changing media landscape
• Providing analysis and insight to enable senior management to prioritise opportunities, define strategy, build solutions, and identify commercial opportunities across the current portfolio
• Reviewing current commercial offering & current cost structure to identify and recommend opportunities to improve business profitability
• Identify, develop and launch new partnerships and propositions that drive revenue creating business models and go to market strategies and pricing
• Drive project organisation and execution. Ensure projects are well-organized and delivering on desired goals
• Analyse data from key business drivers, competitive environment, trends and operating metrics. Synthesize raw information into insights, recommendations and reports.
• Contribute to time-critical projects for senior leaders by quickly understanding context and developing a prioritised approach for delivery or resolution.
• Identify and recommend activities that will grow the business of Deluxe Cinema, including those which develop new industry products or services that align with our strategic goals
• Ensure that business development activities are program managed and handed to and accepted by the relevant departments
• Lead analytical support for deal analysis and negotiations with customers and vendors
• Negotiate with vendors, customers, and partners, providing the detailed financial, legal, and commercial analysis required to enter into longform agreements supporting business development activities
• Support the preparation of recurring / ad hoc presentations, strategic analysis, and financial projections for Deluxe management to support strategic and operational initiatives
• Provide commercial modelling and analysis for Business Development activity that can include RFP submissions and M&A activity, presenting this analysis to senior management with a range of scenarios and variable assumptions
• Working closely with finance and operations to accumulate knowledge and data that will lead to accurate model building

What You Bring:

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience and skill-set:
• Knowledgeable and an understanding of the media industries and technologies, particularly cinema, and an understanding of technology driven businesses and workflow led operations
• Strong influencing skills, and proven ability to work with a diverse group of people from engineers and financial accountants to exec level management
• Strong financial modelling skills including expert use of Excel with a high degree of numeracy and understanding of financial metrics and performance
• Experience of working in a business under transformation as well as a business aiming at international growth
• Creative with strong pro-active problem solving skills and the ability to succeed in a fast paced multi-cultural environment
• Strong communication skills with ability to present complex analyses in a clear and understandable manner to peers and senior management
• Experience of turning strategy into action and of working in both a strategic and analytical approach
• Previous experience of operating on an international scale across multiple time zones
• Strategic, logical and analytical mindset. Intellectually curious, with good commercial acumen
• Able to work autonomously and in a team, managing multiple projects and stakeholders at the same time

Education:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University is required
• Business Analysis qualification
• MBA desirable
