Deadline is hiring a Junior Account Executive to support the sales team on the Television and Film business. This is an entry-level sales position and the candidate will spend the first year learning the Deadline sales verticals as well as developing a deep understanding of the entertainment media space. The end goal is to increase value for clients leading to strong revenue growth for the Deadline brand. This high visibility role is fast-paced and requires passion, great attention to detail, and effective time-management skills.
Responsibilities:
• Develop a deep knowledge of the Deadline sales platform
• Properly manage client issues and expectations
• Understand digital & social trends and how to use to sales advantage
• Plan and execute media plans that include digital, social, and print for RFPs
• Knowledge of competitors in the entertainment space and how to sell against them
• Work with Director of Marketing to develop/produce sales and marketing collateral
• Liaison between Account Mgr.'s and clients/agencies to ensure all proper approvals for creative, signage and collateral are obtained
• Responsible for general office support; update sales representative forecasting & financial reporting, and the inventory calendar
• Work with Accounting department to follow up on unpaid invoices, prebilling, credit card payments
• Back up sales desk while out of office traveling, vacation etc.
• Must be able to use Salesforce for revenue tracking purposes
• Must be able to use Microsoft suite with a strong understanding of Excel
• Ad hoc support and responsibilities to Sales as required
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years sales experience preferred
• Digital sales experience strongly preferred
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills required
• Knowledge of the entertainment space preferred
• Knowledge of social media to include but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube
• Microsoft office knowledge required
• Some travel may be required
Typical wage range: $65-75k + annual discretionary bonus
Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits.
