Job Description
Your New Role...

Responsible for oversight of record-to-report and invoice-to-cash processes for DC Entertainment and Consumer Products business units (BUs). This role would support the General Ledger Management, Reporting, and Other Business initiatives for the aforementioned BUs. This role provides support for inquiries of operating activities from Capgemini, our BPO service provider. Duties to include general ledger stewardship, month end closing and reporting, consolidation of actual results and preparation and review of all financial statements, by title reporting for publishing, preparing Commission statements, footnotes and disclosures on a global business basis and standardization/improvements to processes.

Your Role Accountabilities...

Record to Report Activities:

Prepare, review and/or analyze actual results for the quarter/month end closing process while ensuring an effective level of internal controls:
• Responsible for establishing and ensuring timeliness of overall monthly close activities with completeness and accuracy of close processes
• Analyze and review financials on a global business or process level to ensure a consistent global approach.
• Use independent judgment to review journal entries that impact the Company's financial statements
• In-depth knowledge of accounting rules to properly interpret and determine applicable accounting treatment
• Analyze and/or prepare balance sheet and P&L reports, sales analysis, accrual & reserve analysis, supplemental schedules for reporting group, government surveys and related party disclosure statements, as applicable
• Determine footnote disclosures and legal analysis.
• Perform procedures to account for all revenues for various lines of business which includes reviewing new contracts, customer account reconciliations, royalty statement reviews, including deferred revenue analysis
• Ensure SOX controls are implemented and adhered to for respective BU, if needed
• Manage the monthly/quarterly close deliverables to Financial Reporting Group including Business Unit by-title and financial submissions, Balance Sheet package, footnotes, supplemental schedules and electronic financial package delivery.
• Participate in month end financial review meetings with relevant stakeholders to ensure the lock down of financial numbers.
• Support in the strategic direction for the process (e.g., revenue, reserves, reporting, etc.) and help drive forward with execution of standardization and improvements for the given process.

Invoice To Cash Activities:

Responsible for credit and collection activities for all revenue streams of the DC business unit:
• Primary point of contact to DC Customers and Business Unit to discuss account status and collections
• Responsible for review of customer invoicing for all DC business unit revenue streams
• Responsible for review of cash application process for payments received from DC customers
• Responsible for input into Bad Debt Expense calculations
• Oversight of BPO service provided for all ITC related activities

Provide support to Capgemini, WB's BPO service provider, and ensure a high level of service to Business Unit Operations
• Act as a point of contact for inquiries from the BPO team's SDC Controllers and Line of Business leads who are responsible for the operational activities.
• Provide support and input where required to the BPO service provider for all month end close activities including: trial balance review, journal entry adjustments, sales analysis and ensuring proper posting of revenue, financial statements and supplemental schedules, aging analysis, review of bad debt and return reserves, accrual schedules, balance sheet account reconciliations, etc.
• Interact and maintain the highest level of customer service with Business Unit operations, BPO and 3rd party distributors (customers) to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Other Special Projects as required, including but not limited to:

CP BU Projects to include Licensing Integration from HBO and Turner Support the design, implementation and testing of the CP Technology Upgrade Program Prepare and invoice Agent Commissions statements on monthly basis

Qualifications & Experience...
• Minimum 3-5 years work experience working with accounting/finance or related financial area required.
• Experience in a large, dynamic & fast paced corporate environment
• Industry experience in entertainment preferred.
• Previous ''Big 4'' accounting experience preferred.
• Industry knowledge/experience in Participations a plus
• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles
• Must have experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle and/or Microsoft Dynamics
• PC Skills: Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel or Access required
• Must be able to communicate effectively with managers, other levels of personnel and outside clients.
• Must be able to pay close attention to detail.
• Must be able to work well under time constraints.
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
• Must have the ability to organize.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $62,797.00 - $116,624.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
