The Job
The Manager, Social Media Strategy is responsible for conceiving, managing, and publishing best-in-class digital and social content experiences for DC Entertainment. Reporting into and in tandem with the Director of Digital Content and Social Media Strategy, this person will lead a small team in establishing and implementing effective, innovative, and influential social media strategies that are aligned with DC's target brand voice and priorities. This role manages the entire project lifecycle and, along with the team, creates engaging and high-quality content that is both on brand and meets growth and engagement goals. The goal of this role is to create social and digital content that extends the brand, communicates a coherent message in sync with brand initiatives, and drives viewers/engagement across third party social media platforms and key owned and operated (O&O) platforms.

The Daily
• Develop and execute a social media and convergent digital strategy for DC Entertainment's content portfolio using engaging content, campaigns, and online events.
• Build awareness, buzz and affinity for the DC brand and its IP, as well as tentpole priorities and initiatives.
• Plan and assign original social content and programming DC social handles to both external agencies and internal team resources.
• Partner with Digital Video Team to create short-form videos and social-first content.
• Execute partnerships with other department and stakeholders to leverage all digital resources and assets.
• Manage multiple platforms and pages including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.
• Collect data, evaluate, and present performance digital successes and trends using key measurement techniques (e.g. native platform analytics, Tubular, Netbase, etc.)
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

The Essentials
• Bachelor's degree in New Media, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
• At least 4-5 years of experience in social media marketing, digital media content, or equivalent.
• At least 1-2 years in a management capacity (management of interns counts!)
• Proficiency in online tracking/reporting tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Insights), online content management and publishing systems (e.g. Sprinklr), and social listening tools (e.g. Listen First, Netbase).
• Project management skills to maintain editorial schedules and deadlines throughout various corporate and ongoing campaigns.

The Nice to Haves
• Experience working in a highly matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience with entertainment-adjacent content and network talent preferred; familiarity with crisis management on social is also a plus.
• Flexibility to respond to off-hours business needs.
