Position Overview

We are seeking a Programming Scheduler with a passion for entertainment and experience connecting consumers with long-form content in the ever-changing digital landscape.

The position’s primary responsibility is to schedule, manage, and promote a large volume of movies, TV shows, and on-net stunts across all O&O Apps, distribution partners, and FAST channels. Qualified applicants are strategic, detail- and process-oriented, proactive, and diplomatic.

Job Description

  • Schedule rights for a high-volume of content across Crackle branded services
  • Implement linear schedules for Crackle FAST channels
  • Proof and optimize metadata related to content programming
  • Audit and manage metadata in company Inventory tracker related to programming
  • Build programming playlists in Crackle’s Content Management System (CMS), ensure curations are scheduled, and track all future merchandising changes in programming trackers
  • Audit all merchandising implementations across platforms as they relate to programming
  • Monthly & Quarterly content turnover audit
  • Support the programming team with creating merchandising schedules and tactics for slideshows, playlists, and all other network promotional levers
  • Coordinate with production team on delivery of creative assets for key merchandising levers and work with content operations to get assets live on the service
  • Liaise with Product, Operations, and Engineering to evolve UI/UX and backend systems to enhance content exploitation levers, streamline workflows, and support new application/platform launches
  • Assist Programming Managers by analyzing performance data to optimize schedules and title performance, as relates to platform viewing patterns, merchandising refreshes, audience retention, title ROI and other KPIs
  • Collaborate with Programming Managers on the development and creation of consumer-facing promotional elements and ensure compliance with network brand and SEO guidelines
  • Manage logistics for weekly cross functional meetings


Job Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in programming, on-air promotions, broadcast operations, media planning or 3+ years’ experience in a high-volume entertainment-related environment
  • Passion for entertainment (must love movies and TV) and pop culture
  • In-depth knowledge of linear and non-linear television programming strategies and services
  • Strategic, self-motivated, creative problem-solver who is flexible and can prioritize in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines
  • Highly organized with proven ability in tracking a large volume of information in a database
  • Analytical thinker, capable of translating data into actionable insights that support short- and long-term objectives
  • Consumer-focused thinker, with an eye for quality assurance and high attention to detail
  • Strong leader who effectively and respectfully communicates within the organization
  • Familiarity with web publishing platforms and content management systems
  • High degree of proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of analytics software (Adobe, Tableau) a plus.
  • Familiarity with linear scheduling (Amagi) and project management (Airtable) tools a plus
