The Job

WarnerMedia seeks a Staff QA Engineer CNN Digital for the CNN NewsCo department. We are seeking an experienced Staff QA Engineer to develop, maintain and support the large set of Functional Verification Tests, Service Validation Tests, and other levels of the testing pyramid for our news applications. Working with numerous disciplines throughout News and Testing Center of Excellence organization, the Staff QA Engineer will assist and support the development lifecycles for our platforms.

The Daily
• Design and engineer test automation scripts at various levels of the testing pyramid
• Functional
• Performance
• API
• Etc
• Partner with app engineering groups and collaborate with them in their various SDLC ceremonies
• Daily standups
• SCRUMs
• Retros
• etc
• Design and implement strategy for how the DTC portfolio will interconnect with various other testing strategies in the group as it pertains to the entire news org testing strategy.
• Work with other testing partners in the TCoE to share and establish common strategies/goals for our group.

The Essentials
• 3-5 years related experience required
• Bachelor's Degree or comparable education required
• Experience with object-oriented language(s) such as: Javascript, etc.
• Experience with scripting languages such as: Unix (bash), Python, Javascript, etc.
• Proficient in automation tooling such as: WebdriverIO, Cypress, Appium, etc.
• Experience with common software development tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA, etc.
• Experience with client/server product releases/deployments of SaaS applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
