Your New Role…
The Senior Producer for ''CNN This Morning'' is a leader who is responsible for helping plan, create, and manage content for the program, including planning daily show rundowns, providing strategic vision for segments, bookings, and managing producers. Every day you'll work to plan out the next morning's show, alongside our Anchors, EP, booking team, and producers. This is an opportunity to help shape the direction of CNN's exciting new morning show. This position reports to the Executive Producer.
Your Role Accountabilities…
• Work with the Senior Staff and others to plan the show's editorial direction.
• Work cross-functionally with newsgathering and the larger organization to ensure the show is covering the right stories in the right way.
• Develop unique angles for stories that help differentiate us from others and add value for our audience.
• Collaborate with Anchors, producers, and correspondents on the direction and production of stories.
• Work closely with the booking team to generate interesting guest ideas for news-making interviews and interesting discussions.
• Pitch, develop, and oversee new ideas to evolve the show's format and storytelling.
• Attend network meetings as required to represent the show's interests and help ideate on network coverage.
• Oversee a team of producers to ensure a high level of editorial and production consistency.
• Create opportunities for the development and growth of staff members in a creative and collaborative environment.
• Work closely with Rights and Clearances, the Affiliate Desk, and assignment desks.
Qualifications & Experience…
• Minimum eight years of experience in television and/or streaming news.
• A bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Exceptionally strong news judgment.
• Insatiably curious about the world.
• Fluency in iNews, experience in building and managing news rundowns.
• Control room experience preferred.
• Outstanding judgment, critical and strategic thinking, organization skills, and an ability to be persistent yet diplomatic.
• Experience working with scripts and ability to shape the direction of live interviews and segments.
• Must have strong team-building skills and work well with fellow producers and other parts of the organization.
• Must be able to work an extended schedule as the news cycle and deadlines require.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $125,999.00 - $233,997.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
