Senior Manager, Organic Social Media Strategy, (CNN+)

The Job
The Senior Manager, Social Media Strategy is responsible for executing the always-on, organic social strategy for CNN+. You will partner with analytics and creative teams, both internal and external to develop best-in-class social content that drives fan growth and engagement for CNN+ and its programming.
The Daily
• Help develop and execute social strategy and social brand voice to support CNN+ on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and more
• Lead the community management strategy across all channels
• Partner with social agencies and internal creative teams to develop content, supporting acquisition campaigns and maintaining an always-on editorial calendar
• Continuously monitor and optimize content and campaigns across multiple social platforms to drive engagement and fan growth
• Collaborate with analytics, marketing technology and BI teams to gather data and establish new reports and dashboards
• Develop and leverage an in-depth understanding of CNN+'s users to inform audience-first, data-driven social campaign strategies
• Partner with Paid Social to identify opportunities for boosting organic content and retargeting with acquisition creative
• Work closely with platforms (Facebook/Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat) and vendors (e.g. agencies) to identify opportunities
• Identify industry insights and trends to define and refine channel approach
• Effectively supervise junior staff, providing direction, managing workflow, and overseeing skill development
The Essentials
• 5+ years experience developing and executing social media strategies at an impactful subscription service, SVOD, digital publisher or media brand; management experience strongly preferred
• Experience with social media, community management and reporting tools (Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, NetBase, ListenFirst, Conviva, etc.)
• Demonstration of outstanding creative and editorial judgment
• Hands-on experience with developing and reporting on metrics and KPIs for business goals, process improvement projects, and campaign management
• The ability to effectively perform under pressure, identify and delegate tasks effectively, and pay close attention to detail while staying focused on the big picture.
• Proven ability to balance creative and strategic thinking while executing tactically
• Process-minded and adept at operational effectiveness and problem solving
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence cross-functionally across all levels
• Strong presentation skills are a must
