Job Description

The Job

The Marketing department is responsible for helping to set and reinforce the overall 'value proposition' and business narrative for CNN International Commercial (CNNIC) and how this is then communicated externally and internally.

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for delivering essential external business-to-business and internal marketing communications, to drive competitive advantage and revenue growth and enabling teams to work smarter and deliver an exceptional experience for our clients.

The Daily
• Supporting the creation of the marketing plan and KPIs for all internal and external CNNIC communications
• Executing the global trade marketing plan and identifying new opportunities to promote CNNIC
• Producing and delivering marketing collateral including client case studies, credentials presentations, award entries, social media updates, monthly client newsletters and bartered media placements
• Delivering the internal communication plan including activities such as producing the weekly internal newsletters, publishing content on the intranet, managing distribution lists, updating the new starter onboarding pack
• Contributing to the production of leadership communications
• Working closely with the Events and Network Integration team on marketing events and the promotion of key client partnership deals and new product launches
• Evaluating the effectiveness of our sponsored partnership deals and make recommendations for future events that will support the commercial objectives of the business

The Essentials
• Strong marketing skills with extensive experience, preferably in an advertising sales or agency environment
• Deep understanding of the media and publisher landscape and how marketing is best used to support a sales organization
• Knowledge and awareness of the global advertising industry
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability and confidence to communicate with people at all levels
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Self-motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a small team across time zones
• Extremely competent in online applications (intranets and business websites) and Microsoft Office packages, particularly building and creating presentations in PPT
• Knowledge and experience of using content management systems​​​​​​​
