CNN Digital Research & Analytics Manager (Politics)

to recommend ways data can help answer business questions.
• Deeply understand our audiences, how they use our products and what that means about how we evolve our digital products and content.
• Be a key partner to product, design, editorial, technology, business operations, growth, data intelligence, and other core teams within the business.
• Develop reports and dashboards to evaluate performance and highlight key audience segments.
• Lead UX research in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The Essentials
• Bachelor's Degree or higher required
• At least 5 years of digital media analytics & research experience
• Expert data analysis skills and the ability to distill complex findings into digestible insights
• Proficiency with digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, or similar
• Experience with competitive intelligence tools such as comScore, SimilarWeb, and Tubular
• Experience with qualitative research methods including surveys, focus groups, and usability studies
• Deep understanding of digital media landscape, particularly politics and elections news sources
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple projects
• Self-starter and strategic thinker who takes ownership of projects
• Adaptability and flexibility in your approach to projects and priorities
• Experience with Domo, Snowflake, or Looker a plus.

The Job

As part of the Research & Analytics team, you will be integral in creating audience insights for CNN Politics. This challenging position will play a key role in analyzing consumer engagement and behavioral trends for CNN Digital's politics vertical. In your day-to-day, you will leverage both quantitative and qualitative data to support editorial, product and business initiatives.
