The Job

CNN Films brings distinguished, thought-provoking documentary programming to audiences on CNN's linear channels as well as CNN+. The Associate Producer will assist the rest of the CNN Films team in the day-to-day management of the department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead in maintaining and organizing all pitch, acquisition and tracking logs
• Coordinate accreditation, transportation, and accommodations for film festivals
• Write coverage for acquisition submissions
• Research articles and IP

The Daily

Lead in maintaining and organizing all pitch, acquisition and tracking logs
• CNN Films receives submissions from outside production companies in various forms. These materials range from a film overview or pitch deck to an entire film.

Coordinate accreditation, transportation, and accommodations for film festivals
• CNN Films submits most of their films to Film Festival all over the world. CNN films team attends these festivals in addition to member of the production team.
• The Associate Producer will be in close contact with various film festivals as well as directors, producers, and documentary subjects to arrange travel etc.

Review and write coverage for select acquisition submissions
• CNN Films receives a large number of fully finished films that need to be reviewed for potential acquisition. The Associate Producer will be responsible for viewing submissions and writing a summary to be shared with the rest of the CNN Films team.

Research articles and IP
• CNN Films also develops film ideas internally. The Associate Producer will be responsible for contributing to team brainstorms for potential film topics.

Experience:
• 1-2 years work experience full time/internships
• Undergraduate Degree

Requirements:
• Interest in Documentary Film
• Experience or Knowledge of Film Festival landscape
• Organizational Skills
• Administrative Skills
