The Job

CNN is Hiring two Archive Producers for an important new Historical Documentary series to premiere on our new streaming service CNN +.

The Daily

As archive will be one of the crucial building blocks of this series - helping to dictate the scope of our storytelling
- our Archive team is an integral part of the larger production unit. The candidates for these positions must have an eye out for both the narrative and the aesthetic; researching, sourcing and obtaining well-curated and compelling archive.

The archive producers will work in tandem to manage workflow between the rest of the production unit. They will also work within CNN's existing archive and legal structure on clearances and licensing and cost documentation of all third-party material. The candidates will work closely with all members of the production unit and should enjoy working as part of a larger team. We look forward to hearing from you.

The Essentials
• The Candidates must have a minimum of 7+ year's experience, a majority of which has been devoted to historical documentary.
• Candidates should have a wealth of archival knowledge and extensive archival contacts, both domestic and international.
• Candiates should have extensive experience with negotiating rights and clearances
• Candidates should have outstanding organizational skills when it comes to logging,creating naming comventions and keeping track of all incoming archive,
• We are looking for Archive Producers who are as innovative, curious and creative as they are tenacious and organized.
• A passion for making history visually exciting is a given; a familiarity with World Affairs and Foreign Policy, a definite bonus!
