Responsibilities

CNBC's fast-growing executive memberships business, CNBC Councils, is seeking a Planning & Operations Analyst to support the team in tracking, analyzing, and growing the business. The analyst is responsible for data tracking (a combination of quantitative and qualitative inputs), reporting, and analysis activities for a fast-paced team building, developing, incubating, and launching new, multiplatform initiatives collaborating with cross-functional partners across marketing, editorial, finance, business development, sales, and more.

The analyst reports to the Director, Strategic Content & News Partnerships, focused on content strategy and growth operations for multiple emerging businesses. The analyst also works alongside the member acquisition and member engagement managers to ensure a high-quality experience for CNBC's executive membership programs. This role also works closely with editorial and production leadership.

What you'll do:
• Sales Planning & Operations
• Develop and vet lead lists through existing tools and inbound applications to prepare
• Organize and maintain list of targets, keeping them up-to-date with contact information using database tools
• Pull and analyze data on target segments and industries
• Research and understand industry trends to help team forecast effectively and make smart predictions
• Owns, maintains and regularly updates sales and engagement data tools

Analysis & Reporting
• Track attendance and engagement metrics in partnership with engagement manager
• Track key sales metrics in partnership with membership acquisition manager
• Own, templatize, and execute ongoing reporting
• Support quarterly and annual forecasting budget and planning exercises in partnership with Director and finance team
• Track and submit expenses for team budget and forecasts

Qualifications/Requirements
What you'll bring:
1-2 years of experience in an analytical role
• Highly organized with sharp attention to detail
• Comfort in working with data
• Excellent verbal written skills and ability to collaborate with key cross-functional partners in editorial, news, sales, marketing, and events teams
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment managing multiple deadlines and projects
