Responsibilities
CNBC, the world leader in business news, is seeking an Engagement Manager with a content-focused, client-first mindset to lead member experience and retention for CNBC Councils, invitation-only programming initiatives that convene and super-serve leading C-level executives (primarily Chief Human Resources Officers and Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officers; Chief Technology Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, and Chief Product Officers; and other C-level executives) with in-depth industry insights, thought leadership opportunities, and peer-to-peer connections. The Engagement Manager is responsible for member experience initiatives, including community management, content development, and member retention. The engagement manager reports to the Director, Strategic Content & News Partnerships, focused on growth strategy and operations, and works alongside the member acquisition manager to ensure a high-quality member experience. This role also works closely with editorial and production leadership for CNBC Councils.

What you'll do:

Member Experience & Retention
• Develop and execute a retention strategy that articulates value proposition to potential members of exclusive, invitation-only councils
• Create, track, and execute on goals and KPIs for member retention, including surveys, event attendance and engagement
• Work closely with member acquisition manager to onboard new members and to manage the end-to-end membership lifecycle using a CRM and/or other analytical tracking tools
• Partner with member acquisition manager to field member and stakeholder communications (may also include PR teams and Executive Assistants) and route inquiries
• Lead audience development for member events and develop a regular cadence of communication with members and member stakeholders that ensures they are taking full advantage of their membership experience

Community Management & Content Development
• Design, build and execute marketing and communications programs to grow and expand council offerings to C-level executive members, including messaging and content marketing materials
• Partner with editorial team to develop content calendar and produce event recaps and other resources to keep members engaged, address member needs, and support referral marketing; channels may include social media, newsletters, podcasts, and more
• Facilitate community development and conversation in Slack channel; develop a social media approach that engages existing members

Qualifications/Requirements
What you'll bring:
• 3-5 years of experience in B2B marketing, communications, editorial, and/or sales marketing roles
• Ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives and their key stakeholders
• Excellent verbal written skills and ability to collaborate with key cross-functional partners in editorial, news, sales, marketing, and events teams
• Knowledge of critical issues facing C-level executives in today's business landscape
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with CNBC's content, brand, more than 30-year legacy and ongoing publicly available initiatives

Desired Characteristics

You'll stand out if:
• 2-3 years at a news, publishing, or other media organization
• Experience working with senior executives, elite membership programs and professional events
• Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and complex projects
• Able to multi-task and prioritize, and capable of handling projects with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented self-starter with strong problem-solving and project management skills
• Must be entrepreneurial and self-starter with the ability to fully own and drive projects forward
